Team USA men's basketball will go for gold on Saturday in Paris. After rallying from a 17-point deficit for a thrilling 95-91 victory over Serbia on Thursday, the Americans will go up against Victor Wembanyama and host country France with the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics on the line. Serbia took down Germany earlier on Saturday to claim the bronze medal.

LeBron James (16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists) became the first player to post two triple-doubles in Olympics history. Steph Curry knocked down nine 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 36 points, while Joel Embiid added 19 points and four rebounds.

USA vs. France will be a gold medal rematch from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which Team USA won by five points. Here are three big questions about the gold medal game.

Guerschon Yabusele and Isaia Cordinier combined for 33 points and 14 rebounds in France's semifinal victory over Germany, while Victor Wembanyama added 11 points and hit a clutch free throw down the stretch. Dennis Schroder had a game-high 18 points and four steals for Germany, which opened a lead in the first quarter but couldn't hold on. It will play in the third-place game against Serbia on Saturday.

The United States features another star-studded veteran roster and is chasing a fifth straight gold medal. Team USA breezed past Brazil for a 122-87 win in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. By winning their first three games in Group C with the highest point differential (plus-64), the Americans secured the No. 1 seed for the knockout rounds. USA also posted lopsided wins over Puerto RicoSouth Sudan and Serbia to open the tournament.

Twelve teams participated in the tournament. They were divided into three groups, and the top two teams from each group advanced to the quarterfinals, along with two wild-card teams.
