NEW YORK -- New York City's Summer Streets program expanded to select streets in Brooklyn and the Bronx for the first time on Saturday.

New Yorkers could walk, bike and play along two major roadways free of cars.

Eastern Parkway was closed to traffic from Grand Army Plaza to Buffalo Avenue, and Grand Concourse was closed from East Tremont Avenue to Mosholu Parkway.

Visitors enjoyed cultural performances, games, free bike rentals and more.

Saturday marked the last weekend of the popular program, which opened 20 miles of streets across the five boroughs for people to play, walk and bike.
