Case Study: Travel + Leisure India & South Asia Collaborate with Hyundai India to Deliver a Road to Sustainability

In a campaign to promote sustainable travel, Travel + Leisure India & South Asia collaborated with Hyundai India to produce the Conscious Traveller series.

MISSION
The collaboration between Travel + Leisure India & South Asia and Hyundai India aimed to inspire and enable travellers to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. Focusing on eco-conscious travel, the Conscious Traveller series was designed to showcase the possibilities of exploring beautiful destinations in India with minimal environmental impact, all the while aligning with the values of sustainability that both Travel + Leisure India & South Asia and Hyundai advocate for.

SOLUTION
Travel + Leisure India & South Asia partnered with Hyundai India to produce a series of immersive travel experiences featuring India’s first all-electric SUV – the Hyundai KONA Electric. This series highlighted two unique journeys:

Exploring Manali
The journey showcased a trip through the scenic landscapes of Manali, emphasising the blend of adventure and sustainability that electric vehicles bring to the travel experience. By diving through mountainous terrains in the Hyundai KONA Electric, the Conscious Traveller series was able to demonstrate the vehicle’s capability and the joys that come with eco-friendly travel.

Food Sustainability in Goa
This part of the series explored Goa’s vibrant food culture through the lens of sustainability. It focused on local, environmentally conscious culinary practices and how travellers can make more sustainable food choices while exploring new destinations. Hyundai’s KONA Electric was presented as the perfect companion for those who seek to reduce their carbon footprint whilst indulging in culinary wonders.

ACHIEVEMENT
The Conscious Traveller series successfully engaged a vast audience, achieving a remarkable reach of 4.5 million across Travel + Leisure India & South Asia’s platforms. The series not only highlighted the importance of sustainable travel, but also effectively demonstrated the practical use of electric vehicles in the real world. Through this partnership, Travel + Leisure India & South Asia and Hyundai India were able to inspire a new generation of conscious travellers, thereby reinforcing the message that sustainability and exploration work as a team.
