The arts at BU are a vibrant and vital part of the BU experience. Each year, thousands of students take arts courses, while the campus is host to hundreds of arts events, most of which are free and open to the public. Add to that more than 50 arts groups through student activities, and you have a university that is alive with creativity!

BU Bands members, representing every undergraduate school and college on campus, perform for more than 200,000 people at 150+ events each year. All groups provide fun and exciting ways for non-music majors and music majors alike to have the band experience while pursuing degrees in their disciplines.

BUTI is recognized internationally as a premier summer training program for aspiring young musicians and is the only program of its kind associated with one of the world’s great orchestras, the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Through FitRec and BU’s Physical Education, Recreation & Dance program, students can train in a variety of dance styles, including ballet, tap, and aerial dance. Students can also take dance for credit and even graduate with a dance minor.
