Because we (and the rest of the world) think they're end game.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating for almost a year, and what a year it’s been. From Taylor sprinting onto the field after Travis' Super Bowl win and Travis attending tons of his girlfriend's concerts to the duo turning Coachella into their own personal date night, these two have been inseparable since the day they went public with their relationship. But there's still one milestone we have yet to see the duo check off their list—an engagement.

It may be the Swiftie in us, but we can’t help but wonder if a proposal is on the horizon, and we're even more intrigued about the future ring Taylor may receive. Will Travis present her with a multi-diamond sparkler (with 13 stones!) worthy of her pop star status? Or, will he keep things pared back with a vintage, multi-carat rock? Better yet, will Travis pay homage to his career with a football-inspired design? Of course, we won't know for sure until he actually pops the question, but that doesn't mean we can't dream up a few ideas and predictions.

Ahead, we tapped eight notable jewelers with expertise in engagement rings for their thoughts on what Taylor's engagement ring from Travis will look like. From vintage-inspired pieces to baubles that reference Taylor's lucky number 13 and so much more, here's what they had to say—including their original sketches to accompany their predictions.

An Antique Fancy-Cut Diamond

Susie Saltzman is a custom engagement ring designer based in New York City with over 20 years of experience in designing fine jewelry. She considers herself to be a die-hard Swiftie, telling us her favorite hits by the star are "Cruel Summer," "August," and "Lover," to name a few. When asked how she would describe Taylor’s personal style, she told us she views it as “genuine, expressive, and unique," all characteristics that play into her prediction of an antique, fancy-cut diamond engagement ring.

"I would picture Taylor wearing an antique, fancy-cut diamond (meaning not a round brilliant cut) because most antiques are truly one-of-a-kind in shape and brilliance. I feel like her ring has to be timeless yet unique and all about the details," she shares. "I could see her falling in love with an exaggeratedly slender oval or pear-shaped antique diamond in the five to eight-carat range. I would set her antique diamond in hidden micro pave prongs—a sort of understated luxurious detail that showcases her center diamond. The shank (band) of her engagement ring would be solid 18k yellow gold, and delicate, again to keep the focus on her exceptionally rare statement antique diamond.”

An Emerald-Cut Diamond (With 13 Stones)

Ruben Luna, founder and creative director of fine jewelry brand Workshop Underground, tells us that he wholeheartedly believes that Taylor and Travis are the real deal (dubbing himself a closeted Swiftie). He can’t get enough of Swift’s classic "Love Story," and describes her jewelry style as timeless and elegant. When asked about his Travis-Taylor engagement ring prediction, he believes it will incorporate the number 13 and TNT (the matching bracelets Travis and Taylor already have), among other gorgeous elements.

“I definitely envision Taylor Swift having an engagement ring with an emerald step-cut diamond weighing around eight carats," Luna explains. "Since Taylor is drawn to vintage styling, the diamond would be set in Art Deco-inspired claw prongs made of platinum, while the band would be 18K yellow gold (to complement her predominantly yellow gold jewelry), and then accented with 13 (her lucky number) round diamonds with vintage milgrain beaded details. And, of course, there would be a hidden inscription engraved inside of the band reading ‘TNT.’”

A Marquise-Shaped Diamond

Grown Brilliance’s Akshie Jhaveri is all about sustainability, working with lab-grown diamonds to provide clients with ethical, beautiful pieces of jewelry. She, too, is a Swiftie, telling us she finds herself listening to "Love Story" on repeat. Her engagement ring prediction? A marquise diamond with a three-stone setting.

“I think that Taylor would love a large marquise-shaped diamond as her engagement ring with two beautifully cut baguette diamonds flanking it. The marquise diamond, shaped like a football, symbolizes precision and elegance, making it a perfect, glamorous fit for her engagement, blending sophistication with her bold persona," Jhaveri shares. "Its three-stone setting amplifies brilliance, akin to the spotlight on a championship game. Lab-grown diamonds reflect Taylor's commitment to sustainability and modern values, making this ring an exquisite choice. It has a [seven] carat Marquise center diamond with [just under one carat] of baguette diamonds on the sides.”

A Yellow Gold Antique Diamond

When we find ourselves scrolling on social media, more often than not we’re devouring Olivia Landau’s videos. The founder of The Clear Cut, she has a keen eye for engagement rings, and we were pleased to find out that she’s also a big fan of Taylor (she adores the singer’s hit song "Bejeweled"—fitting for a jewelry designer!). Landau describes the pop icon's jewelry style as sentimental and vintage-inspired, and she predicts Travis will go for a yellow-gold antique diamond when popping the question.

“I think Taylor will choose an antique diamond, like an old European cut or an old mine cut, that will be in yellow gold. The ring will be one of a kind that has a vintage charm but is also timeless. Because she is so sentimental and loves storytelling, her ring will have a lot of personalized details," says Landau. "For instance, she might incorporate six pave diamonds on each side of the band or in a hidden halo adding up to 13 diamonds total because she loves the number 13. She and Travis will definitely include a personalized engraving inside of the band like a song lyric, an inside joke, a phrase that they love, or a significant date. I can also see her wanting to include floral details or other artsy aspects to add to its uniqueness.”

An Elongated Cushion-Cut Diamond

Dana Gordon, founder of Dana Rebecca Designs, started her brand back in 2007 and has been making custom diamond pieces ever since. The jeweler believes that an engagement between Swift and Kelce is on the horizon, and predicts that the pop star's penchant for love songs (Gordon's favorite is "Betty") will prompt Travis to buy a classic and romantic cushion-cut diamond engagement ring.

“We all know Taylor is a romantic and classic to her core. We love to think about her ring and envisioned a romantic detail of side stones flanking an elongated cushion-cut stone," shares Gordon. "Taylor's love for her cats will not go unnoticed by Travis and we have engraved her three cats on the inside of the ring.”

A Unique Pear Diamond

Sarah Ortega, the founder of Sarah O. Jewelry and a proud Swiftie, thinks that Taylor and Travis are bound to get married because they always show up for each other. Plus, they aren't scared away by all the spotlight and success, which is fitting since Ortega's favorite song by the artist is "Fearless." As for her engagement ring prediction? The jeweler has a few ideas, but believes the main stone will be a unique pear diamond.

“Taylor is a lover of vintage style, so incorporating delicate details was a must. However, she also has an undeniable modern flair that shines through in her 'Reputation era' and occasional red-carpet appearance," Ortega explains. "The design I’ve created is a perfect balance of these two styles with a touch of Taylor magic. The ring features a pear diamond center stone because it’s a timeless shape, but it’s more unique than the currently trending oval, or the ever-classic round. The center stone is set in a half bezel for added security—this will keep her ring safe during all her long performances and worldly travels. Lastly, there’s a half halo of small round diamonds surrounding the tip of the pear center stone, and one dainty opal perched at the base. There are nine diamonds to signify 1989, the year both Taylor and Travis were born. The small opal detail is an ode to Taylor’s favorite gemstone since she’s shared that opal jewelry has always brought her happiness.”

An Emerald-Cut Cluster Diamond

Inna Kushnirski is the bridal merchandiser for Gabriel & Co. and has been in the bridal industry for over 10 years. When asked about her favorite Swift song, she shares that it is, without a doubt, "Bejeweled" because it’s all about “overcoming obstacles and becoming your most authentic self.” She, too, is on board with Tray-vis, and believes an emerald-cut cluster diamond is what the football star will buy for the duo's forthcoming engagement.

"Taylor has her own unique style and we’ve seen her transform through all her eras. I am going to predict a fancy diamond cut, such as an emerald cut, or maybe even an elongated cushion or radiant cut. She’s never one to follow trends—she is the trendsetter—and these shapes are timeless, classic, yet still modern," shares Kushnirski. "There is something so romantic about these shapes, reminiscent of old Hollywood glam. We took a classic shape, an emerald cut, and added asymmetrical fancy-cut diamonds in clusters on the sides (very flirty, fun, and whimsical). It's our unique rendition of a classic three-stone silhouette, but Taylor-ized. We chose a platinum setting, for optimal protection for when she’s on tour, with a total carat weight of 13 carats—an ode to her lucky number, giving sparkle from every angle.”

A Vintage-Inspired Diamond

We also spoke with Zaven Ghanimian, jewelry designer and CEO of Simon G. Jewelry, to get his favorite Taylor song and engagement ring prediction. On the music front, he went with "The Lakes," a track only true Swifties are familiar with. "These are some of her most cleverly written lyrics that tie in the idea of romanticism that she loves so much," he explains. His ring choice? A vintage-inspired diamond sparkler.

“I think she would keep her ring simple, elegant, romantic, and vintage-inspired," notes Ghanimian. "The design is also inspired by Taylor being one of the biggest stars in the world right now, showing off a brilliant center stone that shines outside of itself.”
