Here Are All the Details About Kourtney Kardashian's Engagement Ring

All anyone can talk about at the moment is Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's absolutely romantic (and highly anticipated) engagement. And for obvious reasons: everything about the proposal was stunning, from the rose-covered beach to the post-engagement family dinner. Oh, and not to mention, have you seen that ring?!

Barker popped the question on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at a beachfront hotel in Montecito, California, in the middle of a heart-shaped display of red roses and candles, before heading to a post-engagement dinner where the couple were joined by their close friends and family. And on October 21, we got an even closer look at the romantic proposal when Kourtney posted even more stunning photos—including a close-up of her jaw-dropping ring.

The pair originally confirmed the engagement when Kourtney posted gorgeous snapshots from the sweet moment set against the Pacific Ocean and a California sunset. "Forever," she captioned the post.

It was at the aforementioned dinner that we got the first glance at the rock. Kourtney's sisters Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Travis' daughter Alabama Barker posted videos and photos from the after-party, which included shots of her new bling.

In Kim's Instagram Story and Tweet, the Skims founder shared a video set to the Bruno Mars hit "Marry You," where Kravis exchanged a celebratory kiss before Kourtney wrapped her hand around Travis' neck, flashing off the stunning stone.

Alabama shared a sweet photo of her dad and soon-to-be stepmother to her Instagram story, writing, "So happy for you guys. I love u both!" The Jenner sisters also generously posted close-ups of Kourtney modeling the over-the-top ring.

So given all this ring footage, we decided to phone in an expert to get the scoop on her massive ring. According to Brilliant Earth's SVP of Merchandising and Retail Kathryn Money, the elongated oval-shaped solitaire diamond sits upon a thin white-gold or platinum pavé band. She estimates that the ring's center stone is likely 10 to 12 carats (um, wow) and rings in at a jaw-dropping (yet not surprising) price point.

"Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the center and side stones, we estimate the cost of the ring between approximately $500,000 to $1 million," Money tells Brides.

The two began dating earlier this year after years of being neighbors and close friends. And it was pretty clear early on that the two were in it for the long haul—from adorable Instagram captions to fresh ink and many, many public displays of affection.
