FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighbourhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the centre of town, Booking.com will help you explore all Bangkok has to offer.

A lot of impressing temples and of course King's Palace. Great food, both in cosy restaurants and on the streets. Pretty crowded and noisy, as any big city. In August temperatures and humidity pretty challenging for long walkings.

Bangkok has so much to offer. Fantastic food, beautiful sites, good shopping. The people are all so friendly and welcoming. It’s a big city though, so distances are long and lots of time is needed to see everything.

The choice of food is amazing.

The choice of food is amazing. The place is buzzing with traffic and people. If you don't like noise then forget about coming to Bangkok! Download Grab or the Bolt apps to get an understanding of cost when travelling, particularly helpful when using the Tuk Tuks. Note the taxi's, Grab and Bolt will look for the bigger fares. So if your journey is 100 baht, prepare for a long wait. MBK shopping center is a place to shop until you drop. Thailand is massage heaven, so I would suggest if you have been on a plane for a while to get here, make a visit to the massage place a priority, you will not be disappointed. 7/11's here if you are not aware sell liquor. However forget about the wine, unless you have plenty of baht in your kick. Just a few little snippets of info. have the fun is learning about things yourself.

Bangkok is a place perfect for people who love food and shopping because of its very reasonable price. People are warm and polite although you will misunderstood them shouting since they talk a bit loud and with a very strong intonation. I visit Bangkok at least twice a year when I need to on food trip and shopping. This is the place where I feel safe and happy. I always stay at Amari Watergate every time I visit Bangkok. location is near the shopping area and the hotel is exemplary clean and provide good service to their guests. I will highly recommend to visit Bangkok and experience fun and joy without spending a lot.

Lots to like: historical sites, temples, massage and spas, museums, shopping (both in high-end malls or out on the local streets), delicious food everywhere! (again from the entrire spectrum: from streetside stalls, small restaurants, food court malls to the higher-end restaurants) Favourite places: National Gallery, National Museum, The Grand Palace and the surrounding temples, Chao Praya river tour It was easy enough to get around: BTS, MRT and buses were quite convenient. Just take into account the rush hour. If in a hurry, taxis weren't too difficult to hail or book using the relevant apps.

Vibrant, huge and little overwhelming in the heat .. but pretty great transport with air-conditioning ( BTS trains and metro) which made it bearable to be outdoor. Amazing sunset views from amazing rooftop bars... and so much to see when the sun goes down: all the temples looks spectacular - lit up in gold and the famous busy streets with so much going on...

Located a 40 min. - 70 min (early morning vs day time) drive by cab from the BKK Airport in the center (if you can say so looking at the size of Bangkok). Attractions in a radius of 3-5 km. Area is safe and developed. hotel offers all service you need, great roof top pool and bar, super friendly staff, 7eleven right at the door step and good (quality and price) Thai massage across the street. Cafes, street food, Starbucks at a finger tip. Modern rooms, comfortable and offering a good view on the city. Amazing breakfast and food choice.

Excellent location about 5min walk to the Asok train station which connects you to the rest of Bangkok. I also got the train to and from the Airport which took about an hour. 7/11 next the hotel and a large supermarket just down the road. The supermarket is 24/7 very convenient. I ended up coming back to this hotel after travelling around North Thailand before getting my flight back to UK. Staff were very helpful. Recommended.
