Located within the walls of the Marvão Castle, at the top of the high village of Marvão, Dom Dinis Marvão features a rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi® and panoramic views of the countryside below. Perfect, charming old small hotel perched at the top of this UNESCO walled hilltop village next to the castle. Our room: superior with terrace was simple but stylish with a 4 poster bed, lards tv, fabulous views from the windows and terrace, attractive bathroom with a large stand alone comfortable bath. Very effective heating too! Very welcome as it was rather rainy and cold for the first couple of days. The service from all the women staff was friendly and helpful, towards our dog and advising us on restaurants, and just greeting us as we came and went. As it’s Christmas the whole hotel was decorated attractively making the whole ambience very cosy. The breakfast was good, and tasty and again with helpful staff. It really was the perfect stay. There’s good free public parking right next to the hotel too.

Surrounded by 80 000m² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 4 km from Évora city centre and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking. Absolutely gorgeous, historic property, even more beautiful than is possible to show in photos. Our room was much larger than we expected, with a lovely balcony and view. The service from all of the staff from the front desk to the restaurant, was exceptional. We had a fantastic dinner and breakfast on site. Fabulous stay in Evora.
