Love the location which is tranquil and very convenient- 5 minutes walk to Kyoto Station and everything else. Love the environment which is simple, stylish with open, welcoming atmosphere. Appreciation goes to its designer. The hotel is very generous to offer free cafe time 10 am to 5:30pm and after that a complimentary welcome drink per day. Appreciation goes to the operator and manager of the hotel. Hotel restaurant food is impressive and its manager, Joseph is most hospitable and professional! Such an unforgettable experience!

Ace suited me perfectly for this trip- i travelled across Japan staying in a wide range of properties but was a little sceptical of staying in a Western style one in Kyoto. However im a big fan of Ace hotels around the world so wanted to give this a go- and in the end extended 3 extra nights . Its super comfortable, quiet and the room turn over day was meticulous. Lobby super buzzy with guests and locals- It also made me realise how much i miss Ace London - please find a new location soon - London misses you.

Our stay at the Temple Hotel was so much more than we hoped for. Our hosts were lovely and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The experiences on offer gave us an insight into Buddhism, temple life, traditional food, and culture. Everything was of the highest quality and thoughtfully provided. It was easy to catch the train there, and Ayabe is a delightful place after the busyness of Kyoto. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hopefully, we can visit again one day.

Our room was HUGE with a beautiful view of the autumn leaves and river in Kyoto - and super centrally located to a lot of great restaurants and sightseeing spots in Gion. I am still honestly dreaming about the jacuzzi tub - walking 20k+ steps in Japan and being able to soak in the tub was a dream. I was also super impressed by the amenities, I've never been to a hotel that also provides a hair straightener but it was amazing. I loved this hotel so much and was very sad to leave it.

Best hostel in Japan, hands down Everything was so good, staff is very friendly and helpful, common area super nice with a kitchen, some couch and even a computer that you can use if you need There is some events organized, its super close to the station, rooms with few beds that are very comfy and it was very clean Not to mention the rooftop because it was cold and the nice (payed) breakfast Stop you research for kyoto, this place is perfect

Great property and value! Comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed. Quite spacious, especially for Japan. Walkable to several subway/trains stations, and even Nishiki Market (about 20 minutes). While the check-in desk is at a different location (K's House Kyoto), they hired a taxi to bring us to the property, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. Check out is easy and doesn't require going back to the check-in desk.

The house is clean and tidy, it gives us the feeling of a Japan home. Location is convenient and is very near train station, within a few minutes walking distance. The host is extremely friendly and provides guidance on places of interest in Kyoto. He also checks on us daily to make sure we are doing fine, and he is also very prompt on his replies. I will definitely recommend this accommodation to friends and family.

This is a lovely, new, clean, Japanese business-style hotel in a fantastic location in Kyoto. The twin room I stayed in was quiet and larger than many other Japanese business hotels. Also the rain shower was AMAZING!!! The no-frills breakfast is comparable to what you’d get in similar hotels. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Great value for money. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel for your stay in Kyoto with large rooms. One of the most comfortable ones we stayed in during our trip to Japan. Really appreciated the laundry facilities and the large luggage room where you can get your suitcases delivered or picked up. The hotel staff makes sure you can securely lock them in place until you or the delivery service picks them up. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed staying at this property and extended our stay by one day. Clean, modern, comfortable, cozy and quiet, and very friendly staff that goes out of its way to help. Great location, too, on a side street very close to a main drag and a 2 minute walk to a Kyoto subway station. For those who are familiar with 7-11 stores in Japan, the 7-11 is 30-second walk around the corner.

Great hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Location is excellent, within walking distance to downtown Kyoto and the Gion district, but otherwise quiet. The hotel is a few minutes away from subway and rail, making it easy to get around. The Japanese breakfast was delicious! Staff is very friendly and helped a lot with recommendations for restaurants and for getting around.

While looking for a hotel in Kyoto, we wanted a place within walking distance of the city center and of high quality. Fauchon Hotel, which we had already enjoyed in Paris, was an excellent choice. They beautifully combined French style with the traditional spirit of Kyoto, creating a truly delightful experience. The team was incredible. We left feeling very very happy.

We love Hotel Resol! This was our second time staying there and if we end up in Kyoto ever again I would stay again. The hotel is super clean and the staff is super friendly, and as a bonus there is often someone at the front desk who speaks English. The rooms are super comfy and clean. You are also in a great location super close to almost everything.

We stayed at 7 hotels during our visit to Japan and Hotel Emion is hands down the most value for money. It was the cheapest per night but the poshest hotel we stayed in. Location wise it is a 2 minute train ride from Kyoto station. The room we stayed in was comfortable for the 4 of us. There is a roof garden that gives a panoramic view of Kyoto.

Had fantastic stay, start from lovely staff. Spacious & clean room, complimentary breakfast, as well as within walking distance to most famous touristy places. Great shower. Hotel room was noticeably larger than most other Japan hotels. Main lobby had an incredible view of the mountains and Kyoto, and facilities were clean and modern. I enjoyed the access to the guest lounge, which often had drinks and snacks. Location is quite central to key shopping street, as well as smaller street with nightlife and bars.

The rooms were quite new n clean. The location is central - right next to Kyoto station. The breakfasts were great - my family had a choice for Western or Japanese style breakfast so everyone was happy! The staff from front desk to concierge to bellman were all very helpful n friendly. We felt easy n welcomed.

First time staying in Kyoto and chose to stay in Kyoto Tower Hotel. Booked the large quadraple room which is adequate and comfortable for family of 4. No regrets with my choice of stay eventhough it is on the pricier side. Thank you to all the staffs who makes our stay a pleasant and welcoming one.

First of all thank you Miki and all staffs of Hotel Muso for your hospitality! We love Kyoto for its peacefulness in general, however this cute cozy hotel is very reasonably priced and polite, kind staff and a very clean and decent room size and 10 mins from centre. Would stay here again anytime!

Hotel Brighton Kyoto offers a comfortable and spacious stay, with rooms that are surprisingly large, the biggest I experienced on my Japan trip. The staff is attentive and efficient, always ready to assist, and they provide newspapers every morning, which is a rare and thoughtful touch nowadays.
