Located within 20 km of Sankeien and 21 km of Yokohama Marine Tower, Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura provides rooms in Kamakura. Location, room size, amenities, staffs are all superb. We stayed at superior twin, 5th floor, and still get the view of the shrine and sakura.

Set in Yokohama and with Yokohama Marine Tower reachable within 1.7 km, Oakwood Suites Yokohama offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi throughout the property and a... Honestly missing the hotel already, plenty of space, clean and accommodating. Staff were amazing and helpful, they are a great source of local knowledge and always friendly and helpful. The location may seem out of place for traveling to and from central Tokyo but honestly I feel it was worth it for the view and Yokohama itself which I feel was underrated in a lot of people's itinerary. The local MM line basically connects you to all the major hubs to disembark and transfer or stay on for Shibuya and Shinjuku.

Set 6.2 km from Omori Hachiman Shrine, Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki offers 4-star accommodation in Kawasaki and features a fitness centre, a restaurant and a bar. Great location for a fraction of the price compared to staying in Tokyo. There’s a rapid JR line that gets you to Tokyo in less than half an hour and there’s also a direct bus line that gets you to Tokyo Disneyland/Disneysea within an hour. Very comfortable and will definitely return on our next trip to Japan.

Situated right in front of Yamashita Park and looking out to the Yokohama Bay, Hotel New Grand is a renowned classic hotel with nearly a century of first-class hospitality. it was not a common experience in Asia, that when you send your room requests for a famous hotel and they apologised to you for not able to fully satisfying you, and then asking you to probably consider an alternative hotel. Most hotels, would reply you that they will try their best. Majority would try, but they won’t do their best. Who would spend so much effort on a customer who would only spend one night! But Hotel new grand was different from the rest. The team definitely tried their best, from the start of my booking, till I waved goodbye. The room reservation team, Sakiko, was always honest and found time to elaborate on my room choices, the pros and cons of staying in her hotel, as she simply worried that their historic hotel would be too old for my liking. The lobby manager, Mr Tanaka, accompanied me during my checkin and checkout, showed me my room, assured me that everything was checked, and reconfirmed with me whether the room was to my liking. When I mentioned a minor issue during checkout that the in-room clock having a ticking sound, he quickly recorded down in his notes. The rest was memory, of the window view, of the running water that fills a bathtub within few minutes, of squeaky clean room, of staff and doorman who greeted u everytime you stepped out or went in the hotel, of their signature napolitan pasta and Seafood Doria. Thank you, Hotel new grand for making me fall in love with you, and Yokohama.

Located above the 52nd floor of Yokohama Landmark Tower, all rooms at Yokohama Royal Park Hotel offer free WiFi and views of Yokohama City or the Yokohama Bay Bridge. Excellent room size, bedding and bathroom. The view was awesome even though it was not facing the port side and only on the 52th floor. The location of the establishment is fantastic - inter-connecting big malls which means plenty of shopping and no shortage of food selection. Subway station is only 5 mins or less in walking distance with travelators on the way. The entire route is covered hence rain is not a problem. To and fro from the NRT or HND to the hotel can be hassle -free with the airport limousine bus. Will definitely stay again when visiting Yokohama.

Set in Hakone, 12 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Blisstia Hakone Sengokuhara Adult only offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. The facilities and rooms are very new. Extremely spacious and immaculately clean. It was so clean that I didn't even see a a single speck of dust. The location is excellent, it's right next to a bus stop so travelling to other areas in Hakone is very easy. The bus also goes all the way to Odawara. Across the street is a 7/11 that is open 24 hours. There are also some nice local restaurants in the area. The wifi was stable with very high data bandwidth speeds over 200mb. The TV was newer model and it has apps like YouTube and Netflix. The room had a washer/dryer for laundry, which I didn't know how to use as the buttons were in Japanese, but the front desk staff helped me with it. If you need laundry detergent, it only costs 100 yen from the front desk. The breakfast was a nice buffet of food. The entire staff at the hotel were very respectful and professional and really do their best to help. My stay here was well beyond expectations.

Really spacious rooms and friendly staff! There is a restaurant and bakery on the reception level that is really convenient. We loved our short stay here and will definitely come back if we’re in Yokohama again.

Set 1.8 km from Yokohama Marine Tower, Hotel Comento Yokohama Kannai offers 3-star accommodation in Yokohama and features a restaurant. This was the very first hotel we check in upon reaching Japan, and it was such a pleasant stay. The rooms were spacious, comfy bads, clean, and location is close to amenities and the station but not too close that it was peaceful and away from crowds. Breakfast buffet had a good mix of western and Japenese. Although the spread wasn't as wide as other hotels, the quality of the food was fresh and tasty. It raised our expectations for our stay in Japan but nothing came close in comparison after. Definitely our family's favourite, we'll definitely make another booking if we ever do visit Yokohama again.
