The room is very clean and the hotel is beautiful. Very close to the airport. The staff is very professional and ready to help. I would like to particularly highlight the help I received from the two receptionists at the time of checkout, namely Rajiv and Abhishek, who kindly helped with solving the lock on my suitcase. They went out of their way to call the engineering department, to look at my suitcase, which I didn't manage to unlock. The engineer came quickly and within minutes the problem was resolved. The also have a very friendly and kind driver who picked me up from the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay there again in the future.

Very special thanks to Ashwini - when she heard that I had to wear a sari for one of the big functions, she very kindly offered to help me drape it. I am not comfortable wearing a saree and thanks to her, she came over to my room and draped it so very beautifully for me. I was so grateful. The entire team was outstanding. Every single person made sure our stay was pleasant and checked up on us on a regular basis. From the chefs, the housekeeping crew and the security and concierge, we were truly overwhelmed by the warm hospitality.

The Gateway Hotel Church Road Coonoor is a Heritage property featuring a restaurant, ayurvedic massage centre and rooms with views of the garden. Everything and everyone was beyond exemplary . Kannan and Jitesh out of the world...we had booked a car for a dinner at a friend's place at the army staff quarters...the car was to arrive at 20.15. When it didn't, we were worried that we would be late. Kannan just did not hesitate and asked Jitesh to drop us 4 kms away in dense fog....amazing service to say the least
