Miami Beach/ South Beach is a nice place to relax and enjoy people-watching. Highly recommend Big Pink for breakfast or brunch, Havana Bar for cocktails and great bar chow, La Sandwicherie for a midnight snack. Make sure to visit Little Havana too!

There were lots of people visiting Miami Beach when I visited. However it was relaxing. There is a Walgreens close by to grab water, snacks, and sunscreen. You can rent a chair and umbrellas. I ate an Ole Ole Steakhouse (really good) also ate at the Cheesecake Factory (very good). I had a quick breakfast at a little cafe which was really affordable. For solo travelers it’s a perfect location. It was easy to navigate as well.

Overall, better watch your back, no cops around. They steal everything, even my scooter changed to a pole in 10 minutes. Price gouging everywhere. Lazy workers. There are very rich people stepping over the homeless with no shoes and no one seams to care about much. Parking is terrible, so far away. It's not scooter friendly. No parking for scooters. Very few actual bike paths. There need and end to end scooter path. Love muscle beach, if I could park somewhere. I have to walk 2.5 miles to enjoy it. Why are they building so many buildings on the beach? Can't even access from a lot of places.Grant

Been there for Halloween each time (the 10 block long street party at Lincoln Road is a blast). As for Dream South Beach, I have found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and attentive. The Hotel is only on block from the beach and overlooks the Versace Mansion. The rooftop pool is the place to chill after spending several hours on the beach, the rooftop bar is a great place to enjoy a drink before dinner.
