The retreat was very well laid out , quiet and many luxuries. Only stayed 1 night so couldn’t make use of the pool. But otherwise the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast amazing especially to have it in a church.

The centre of nelson Also has a sat market, local produce , etc, food stalls. until about 1pm. The beach is lovely ,but didn't have time to visit it. The area by the beach has tennis courts you can use, there is a bike track.small Zoo, mini golf. Cafe etc.child friendly. Just a great place to hang out. Good eating places in the area by the beach.

We left it quite late to book accommodation but in the end it worked out really well to have 3 different locations. We did so much in our 9 days, especially considering the weather wasn't always the best. A highlight in the city was the walk up the 'centre of NZ' and also the Myazu Japanese gardens. We can absolutely recommend Kimchi & Wasabi in Trafalgar Street - the best lunch we have had since Melbourne. Also Taaj Indian in Tahunanui Drive - really good food. Get the honey cauliflower.

Nelson was a delight to visit rain or shine.
Nelson was a delight to visit rain or shine. Plenty to see if wet and even more when the weather is fine. The city centre is vibrant and an excellent selection of cafes, restaurants and bars. 8 Plates and Hopgoods are excellent restaurants.

We loved Nelson!
We loved Nelson! The climate is great, awesome vibe in the city centre. Tahunanui Beach is wonderful for bathing, beachcombing or any other water activities. Mapua is a must visit, gateway to Golden Bay and Abel Tasman National Park. Eat at Lambrettas for a good coffee/drink cafe experience. Lots of beautiful evening restaurants down Trafalgar Street. Saturday Market has so much to see and buy.

The hotel was located in the perfect spot to walk everywhere in the Nelson CBD. The room was very comfortable, as was the bed. It was also great to do our washing and be able to hang it out on a line in the fresh air. We had one breakfast in house and it was very nice.
We felt really welcomed! All sugestions were perfect, the breakfast was delicious and the team is really nice and helpful. When we go back to Nelson there is no other option of hotel
