The old lady of Dolomites.
The old lady of Dolomites. Difficult not to love and sometimes not to hate. When comparing to the more organized Sudtirol, you can find yourself often in disbelief about some local practices, which make no sense. But then you just sit back, enjoy the panorama, delicious food and drinks and forget about all of that, because Cortina has this strange appealing vibe. Slow and peaceful vibe. And a lot of charm.

There is so much construction in Cortina in preparation for the 2026 Olympics. There is no where to park if you want to visit the city center. We drove around for 30 minutes. There’s a long one way road and if you don’t find a spot you have to loop all the way ground again. This was frustrating. I would stay in city center or in another smaller town. Pretty views but larger city, construction, traffic- but lacked the charm we found in Ortisei

Mid june: For people looking for peace and nature, dont go on a weekend. It was a display of high end cars and super noisy and swarmed with ppl.
But Tre Cime was so so great. I would love to return in summer, I couldnt finish my desired trail due Snow (mid june)... the amouint of ppl on the trail was just enough. But maye it is worthy suffering the initial flow and hope that not so many follow the furthst hiking trails.

This is a luxury ski town.
This is a luxury ski town. If you are coming to do any casual shopping, this is not your area unless casual to you means Prada or Gucci. Also, there is virtually no apres or nightlife, however there are some really great restaurants.

A bit busy for a tourist destination, lots of heavy traffic on the main road that leads to the old city center.
Lots of places to eat and shop, but not many places to walk around, at least in the winter.

Hotel itself is very cosy, retro style but for the price, would deserve some renovation.
Location was good, though hotel is a bit out of the city, there is a free parking infront, otherwise it was a nightmare to find a parking around the town.
Absolutely loved the hotel and the view from it, the staff very nice and helpful. Rooms clean and tidy. Old fashion look but thats what I like, lovely 20min to town. Breakfast delicious, couldn’t ask for more.
The staff looked after us very well and made our trip in the Dolomites extra special. The hotel room was great and deserves more than 3 stars! Would love to stay here again, thank you so much!
