There were a couple of initial issues checking in and with the room that were disappointing but the manager Jem was very professional and looked after things which we were appreciative of. This is a historic and very beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The lobby is stunning, particularly at Christmas time. This hotel is therefore popular with locals and tourists alike and the bars/ restaurants can get very busy. In my experience I’d recommend booking all meals in advance. The library bar did amazing cocktails and the wine bar is lovely too, this area also serves as a nice cosy spot for coffee and breakfast in the morning. The room was very comfortable, with a view of the CN tower. One of the room attendants, Dino was very friendly and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Union station is right across the street, the subway is really easy to use, clean and inexpensive to get around the city. You’re also just a short walk away from the lake.

Finally made it back to this lovely city after a long absence. Have visited twice in the last 6 months from the US and will come back. There's so much my wife and I want to rediscover; the city is so different but still familiar. Always loved TO since I was a kid! Was semi-hesitant to drive to the city, but it was a non-issue. No worse than Buffalo! Lol

Toronto has a lot to offer!
Toronto has a lot to offer! Besides the obvious attractions of the CN Tower, the Rogers Center-Skydome for sports and concerts; others like ROM - the Royal Ontario Museum - are easy to get to using the TTC subway - the Toronto Transit Commission located in Union Station.
There are many different ethnic restaurants to choose from - we had a great meal at the Old Spaghetti Restaurant on Esplanade St, one of our favs!
A man-made beach is nearby or you can take a ferry to Toronto Island on Lake Ontario for superb views of the city or to escape the heat during the summer. I've visited and worked in Toronto many times and know it well - highly recommend!

Don't go for the kitsch wannabe version of NY.
Don't go for the kitsch wannabe version of NY. Go to New York instead!. Everything is second class in Toronto, though fast food was actually good... then again, even that is better in NY. Toronto is cheaper! And I am afraid that's about it with the positive comments!

Commute times and traffic can be annoying at times. Apart from those, beautiful and well-planned city, lovely people and nice tourist sites. Note that it is a relatively expensive city, though. Pack up on the $$$.

Well appointed room with excellent views (38th floor). Good room service. Bed, chairs, safe, ensuite etc all as expected. Friendly, helpful staff. The central location means that much of downtown Toronto is within easy walking helped by the hotel having a direct link to the city's underground walking network.
The hotel is in the perfect location for downtown Toronto, Chinatown and the waterfront. Street car stops right outside. Staff were really helpful and our room was ready early at 1pm when we turned up. Gorgeous rooms, huge very comfortable bed and big en suite bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer
Being in the heart of downtown Toronto was amazing, was lovely to have an apartment style hotel room for myself, and the hotel was very clean! Registration and check-out was easily done through text, and there was regular communication via text.
The convenience of being right downtown, the hotel is probably the biggest if not the biggest in Toronto. Has everything you need, a store to buy snacks or anything you may have forgotten to bring, a food court area and a nice restaurant.
