We chose to stay as it was close to the airport after staying in San Sebastián, but really it would be perfect for anyone looking to visit Bilbao! the living room was perfect for us to chill out and watch a movie on our last night. The apartment is only a 10/15 min taxi from Bilbao city centre.

We left early in the morning for the airport, this spot couldn't have been more convienant for an early morning flight. Wonderful value for money!

We all loved the old city with its historical architecture shops, bakeries, bars and vibrant life. The Guggenheim was fascinating to visit great art and displays. We always felt welcome and safe and enjoyed our stay.

A great neighbourhood to experience authentic life in another country and culture. Weekends are festive in the area with lots of activity at the local bars and cafes. Not many tourists around though... more elderly population noticeable.

Good place for a break.
Good place for a break. Food and drink are good and inexpensive. Getting around is easy. I would recommend getting a travel card on your visit, which can be used on all forms of transport. I also took a day trip to San Sebastian. It takes about 1 hour and twenty minutes by bus, costing around 10 euros each way. I would also recommend the bars in Calle Ledesma which have a lovely vibrant atmosphere.

Excellent city break with an old and new town to explore. Lovely people, very clean, great architecture, very reasonable and amazing food. Agape restaurant was lovely for a set menu of the day and Casa Rusu was great for steak in a quirky setting at the back of a Deli The market is well worth a visit with a food hall to eat in. Cafe Iruña for morning coffee

Bilbao is an international destination made more compelling by the Guggenheim Museum. A center of great food and there are plenty of trendy restaurants offering tapas or sit down dinners. Great shopping ares in the old part of town and easy to navigate.
