This excellent jewel of a place is perfectly situated next to the airport. Their shuttle runs every 20 minutes around the clock. The staff speak all sorts of languages and the are all very accustomed to tired, cranky and rushed clients that simply use this hotel to get from one place to another. They have a light breakfast from 3am for those that have an early flight (me) and a full breakfast from 5am. They have a decent bar, a restaurant and even a pool. The rooms are clean and more or less quiet, everything including the wifi is fast and functional. I gave this place a full 5 stars because it is exactly what it advertises to be. This is not a vacation getaway, this is not a romantic destination - this is an independent, airport hotel that could have been awful (and still used) but it is not, this place is really a perfect airport hotel.

Situated in Rio de Janeiro, 20 km from Maracanã Stadium and 21 km from AquaRio Rio Marine Aquarium, Escondidinho Bar, hostel e casa de festas offers a bar and air conditioning. The hostess, Nayara, was absolutely wonderful! People like her make travelling interesting and fun. Our only regret was that we only booked for one night because we needed a place close to the airport.
