The Bollywood Hungama OTT Fest, held on October 3 and 4, 2024, brought together prominent figures from the entertainment industry to explore the rapidly changing world of India's OTT platforms. Across two days of insightful panels, celebrities discussed the evolution of digital content and its growing impact.
One of the standout moments came from actress Rakul Preet Singh, who opened up about her cameo as legendary actress Sridevi in Kathanayakudu. Sharing her thoughts on portraying such an iconic figure, Rakul provided a behind-the-scenes look at the experience and reflected on the responsibilities that come with such a role.
Rakul Preet said, “It was 6-7 years back. It was a cameo. It was not a biopic. For me it was a matter of honor even in one frame to be like Sridevi ji and portray her. I think there can be no one like her. The first flow that came out, a lot of people felt that it was looking so real and so similar. It was a great experience to play a character of someone who is legend like her.”
