The citizen science programs in forest environments are implemented to collect forest data, measure and monitor data such as forest pollution and forest damages, and many other environmental issues related to forests. Based on our literature review on citizens science and citizen science databases we purpose a database design for Finland's forest incidents reporting application. The database design has been proposed in a way to support the community to report about incidents occurring in the forest. Text, photos, and videos are data types in use to report incidents. In addition, the paper provides a possible proposal for data gathering application design. The research will also provide the current challenges of citizen science databases and future improvements for the proposed database design.
