Detecting coughing episodes passively from acoustic signals in a home environment: demo abstract

Published: 05 October 2010 Publication History

Abstract

We demonstrate a passive cough monitoring system for in-home environments using acoustic sensors. Our system does not need the users to wear any device. It also works under the presence of typical sounds that may be common in a home environment.
