This is my first fully illustrated published book, and I'm so excited to finally see it in print :D I got really lucky last year when approached by the folks from Natraj Publishers to illustrate a book by one of my favourite childhood authors, Ruskin Bond. For those who don't know of him, he's one of India's most loved children's authors, and he lives in the mountains and doesn't use technology. So all communication with him was done over letters! Charming as it was, I must admit, it did make me rekindle my love affair with e-mail with some more gratitude thrown in.
The book is a compilation of short stories on contemporary retelling of ancient Indian folktales. The stories are made up of all kinds of loony characters and bizzare instances, and I had SO much fun drawing them and bringing out little quirks of every story and character.
Big shout out to Divya and Raman who I worked with on the book, and to Sid, for recommending me for this project!
Thanks for dropping by :) Have a lovely day!
