The Brief
Using your photographic solution to inform and inspire, create a hand done poster.
RMIT 2014
My hand done piece continues my fictional narrative in the form of a comic book cover, expanding on the mystery of the killer and the detectives charged with finding him. A dark mood similar to my photograph is created through a combination of subject and the heavy use of black and white to define form. Colour is used sparingly to highlight importance and guide the viewers eyes through the composition. The typography lends a touch of modernity and firmly asserts itself as a comic book cover.

RMIT 2014
My photographic poster shows a grim and moody crime scene. Detectives are on the scene to investigate a gruesome murder in which an innocent life has been grated away. Showcasing my sense of style and humour, I chose to portray the crime scene using personified cheese characters which I hand sculpted. The figures remain playfully simple and expressionless , leaving the lighting to show the mood and emotion. The typography expands on my narrative and helps balance the elements of playfulness and seriousness.
