Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Corporate Real Estate Associate Attorney for its New York City office. The ideal candidate should understand complex real estate transactions, including joint ventures, development projects, acquisitions, dispositions, real estate M&A, and financings. Excellent drafting, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, along with a keen understanding and appreciation of the business of real estate investing.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to corporate real estate matters.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, and joint venture agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex real estate projects.
  • Assist in due diligence investigations and risk assessments for real estate transactions.
  • Attend meetings, negotiations, and closings as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate real estate transactions.
  • Experience with joint ventures, development projects, acquisitions, dispositions, real estate M&A, and financings.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of corporate real estate transactions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
