Showers will persist in places overnight but will be generally lighter than the daytime with a few clear spells in between. Winds will also ease backing to a southerly direction by dawn.

An area of heavy rain will push in from the south and west tomorrow. This will continue uninterrupted and quite consistently heavy for the majority of the day. Strong south-easterly winds.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday
Thursday looks to be a dry and bright day with plenty of wintry sunshine. Turning settled through the day. Friday may remain largely dry, with sunny spells, but clouds could move in from the west after dusk. Saturday will be another dry and bright day, and will be settled to start, with winds gradually picking up through the day.
