Dot’s demise

AC-12 question Dot about his slip ups on the Danny case - not organising the second post mortem for Rod, not testing inside the envelope, and providing Gill with an inaccurate Ronan Murphy file. They also bring up new evidence that indicates Hari might have been telling the truth about Dot trying to frame him. Dot is horrified and hurt when he realises Kate has acquired some of this evidence through surveillance on him. When faced with some impossible questions, Dot becomes increasingly flustered and sends a text: Urgent exit required.

The AFO who has been helping Dot shoots the other AFO on duty and covers Dot as he runs out of the building. He gives Dot his own pistol and they split up. Kate picks up a gun and runs after them. She successfully shoots the bent AFO, and eventually catches up with Dot, who is unwilling to shoot her. He calls someone for help, and a 4x4 picks him up. Kate manages to shoot the driver and runs to the now crashed car. When Dot stumbles out, another shooter on a motorbike tries to shoot Kate, but Dot jumps in front of her. Kate shoots the gunman and takes Dot’s dying declaration as help arrives.
