Rasika Gasti serves as Digital Content Coordinator for the Aspen Institute, curating and producing graphical and video content for the institute’s digital and social media channels. Previously, as a Marketing & Communications Intern for the Aspen Institute’s Leadership Division, Rasika supported brand marketing and communications of programs like Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN), Weave: The Social Fabric Project and Aspen Executive Seminars.
Before joining the Aspen Institute, Rasika studied Digital Media Innovation at Texas State University, which introduced her to the realm of digital storytelling, from social media content creation, web design and development, copywriting, photography to documentary filmmaking. During her time at Texas State University, Rasika served as a Digital Photo/Video Specialist at the Marketing & Promotions department of the LBJ Student Center where she produced multimedia content for the university’s digital media channels. Her multimedia journalism experience at reputable local news outlets in Central Texas, like KSAT 12 News in San Antonio, The University Star and KTSW FM 89.9 encompassed coverage of the impactful events like the Uvalde school shooting and 2020 presidential elections. A few of her projects were also published by notable news outlets like the Austin American-Statesman, KUT 90.5 (Austin’s NPR station) and the Texas Public Radio.
Rasika hails from the city of dreams and Bollywood in India: Mumbai, but she is now based in Washington, DC. In her down time, Rasika enjoys exploring cafés and museums, sketching, listening to music (classical Indian and Pop) and watching Formula One Grand Prix racing.
