Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are no strangers to the real estate game, and their most recent move is listing their newly renovated Malibu beach house for $7.99 million. The superstar couple bought the five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom dwelling from Entourage actor Jeremy Piven about a year and a half ago for $6.6 million,.

Lopez excitedly talked about the house as a “fixer-upper next to the water” during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show shortly after she and Rodriguez made the purchase. The multihyphenate explained that her retired Yankees star beau had enlisted the help of Fixer Upper’s Joanna Gaines as a surprise to her for their second anniversary. Current listing images don’t readily reveal the residential upgrades, but according to Variety, the 4,404-square-foot house has been reimagined. It is not clear how involved Gaines ultimately was in the renovations.

Originally built in 1949, the residence has a main suite that takes up the entire third floor and ocean-facing decks on all three levels. Most of the common living areas feature glass sliders that open to allow a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, and each of the bedrooms has its own unobstructed view of the ocean. Piven, in his time as owner of the house, added numerous Southeast Asian touches, including a carved wood swing on the first-floor balcony, spending a total of $1.5 million on renovations.

Other luxury amenities include an upstairs screening room, an outdoor jacuzzi on the main level deck, and an “entertainment” unit on the lower level, which includes a wet bar and a dry sauna.

Lopez and Rodriguez own numerous other properties between them; presently, they are spending their time at Rodriguez’s sprawling Coral Gables, Florida, mansion. Other homes include two mansions in Los Angeles and a Manhattan penthouse that is currently on the market for $24.99 million. Lopez also still has a cottage-style mansion in the Hamptons that she purchased for nearly $10 million in 2013.
