Frasier Sets Premiere Date for Season 2, Including a Return to Seattle

The doctor is in (again): Paramount+’s Frasier revival will return for Season 2 on Thursday, Sept. 19 with the first two episodes, TVLine has learned.

Season 2 will also feature an episode where Kelsey Grammer’s Frasier Crane will “return to his radio roots at KACL in Seattle,” per the official description. That episode will feature guest appearances by original Frasier cast members Dan Butler (as Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe), Edward Hibbert (as Gil Chesterton) and Harriet Sansom Harris (as Bebe Glazer).

Grammer reprises his role as psychiatrist Frasier Crane, a role he originated on Cheers and then continued on his own spinoff Frasier, which ran for 11 seasons on NBC. In the revival, Frasier has moved back to Boston to reconnect with his son Freddy, taking a job teaching at Harvard along the way. Jack Cutmore-Scott co-stars as Freddy, with Nicholas Lyndhurst as Frasier’s pal and fellow professor Alan, Toks Olagundoye as department head Olivia, Jess Salgueiro as Freddy’s friend and roommate Eve and Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew David.

Season 2 will see Peri Gilpin join the cast after reprising her Frasier role as Roz Doyle in the season finale. Plus, Emmy winner Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymondwill join the cast as Boston bartender Holly, a potential new love interest for Frasier. Season 2 will also feature guest appearances from Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown as Olivia’s sister Monica and Kelsey Grammer’s real-life daughter Greer Grammer, who will play Roz’s daughter Alice.
