Billy Ray Cyrusemergency motion to freeze estranged wife Firerose from using his credit cards has been granted by a Tennessee judge.

A court order filed on July 10 and obtained by PEOPLE said a Williamson County judge found “no legitimate reason for [Firerose] to have access to and to make any additional charges” on Cyrus’ cards, and restrained her from using them, effective immediately.

The order — which described the events of a hearing held July 1 — also said Cyrus, 62, and Firerose, 37, must “exchange income and expense statements as well as asset and liability statements” by July 11, and must engage in “good faith meditation” no later than Aug. 31.

A rep for Cyrus had no comment when reached by PEOPLE.

The hearing came weeks after the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer filed an emergency motion seeking a temporary restraining order that would keep Firerose from “unauthorized” use of his personal and business credit cards and accounts, as he claimed that she spent $96,000 of his money after he filed for divorce on May 23.

Firerose later filed a response to Cyrus’s emergency motion, saying there was in fact “no emergency,” and that alleging she made 37 unauthorized charges was “untrue.”

“Throughout the divorce proceedings, the parties are to live as per the status quo during the marriage,” the filing said. “Wife was simply living as she has since October 10, 2023, and Husband has no right to cut her off.”

Cyrus filed for divorce from the Australian singer in May after nearly seven months of marriage, and in the weeks since, the split has taken a rocky turn, with both parties accusing the other of abuse in court filings.

Firerose accused the country star of “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse” in documents filed June 14, while Cyrus filed paperwork 10 days later claiming he was verbally, emotionally and physically abused by Firerose.

Meanwhile, in another filing, Cyrus alleged that Firerose “had been conducting a campaign to isolate” him from his family, including blocking him from communicating with one of his daughters — while Firerose told the New York Post's Page Six in June that her ex had “very strict rules,” and his treatment toward her was “systematic isolation.”

In his initial divorce filing, Cyrus cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as reason for the split, something Firerose denied being guilty of in a response filing. Cyrus also filed paperwork seeking an annulment on the grounds of fraud.
