We set our own cage to catch something under our home. It turned out to be a skunk, which is something we did not want to try and release on our own. I hired All Star Animal Trapping to get a dead skunk from under my house. I smelled something funky under and thought it was a gas leak. The water and gas company came out and said it was a skunk smell not a gas leak. Then i hired all star animal trapping to get the job done. Their technician Javier went under my house in a tight crawlspace and was able to locate the skunk! It smelled horrible but he was able to get it out of their and they were even able to seal the hole that it was able to get in from that same dayshow more

We had a skunk spray under our house and thought the skunk was still under there making a nest. Called Zenith and made an appointment to have someone come out and take a look. The guy showed up on time and was VERY profesional. He explained everything they did and would not do in detail. So after I learned that no company would send a guy under the house without it costing a small fortune we agreed to let him set a trap outside the hole we thought the skunk went in. After 28 days, 2 cats and 1 possuim we caught the skunk. It was great. After each time we caught something we would call and they came out within a few hours and reset and baited the trap. We contacted Beltran & Sons based on excellent ratings on Angie's List and were not disappointed in the least. We thought there was a skunk living in the crawl space under our house based on an extremely strong odor. As it turned out, there was no skunk, but there was a racoon who probably clashed with the skunk and that is what created the smell. John, from Beltran, came to our house on four different ocassions over several days and set traps but was unable to trap the racoon. On his third time back, it was obvious that the racoon had moved on and was no longer under the house so John went into the crawl space and spent an hour searching every nook and cranny to ensure there were no animals under there and even turned the dirt to help alleviate the skunk smell. He then took our old screen that the racoon had destroyed and built a completely new one using much stronger materials and came back two days later and installed it. Really great. I have tenants living in my house. I got a call late one night that a skunk seemed to be under the house and had sprayed. The odor was permeating the entire house. The tenant was understandably in a panic. I called Abolish the next morning. They came out a day later. In the meantime the tenant saw a skunk walking from the area under the house and closed up all the openings. Abolish set a have-a-heart trap under the house. The cost for this was $250.00 including carting away and animal if found. The tenant checked the trap for three days. No skunk or other critter was caught. Three days was sufficient time for Abolish to feel confident that nothing remained under the house. The tenant wanted a visual check anyway, so Abolish obliged and crawled under the house, reassuring the tenant that none of the ducts had been punctured, then mechanically deodorized. We wanted a skunk and a black cat trapped and humanely removed; however, we caught 1 possum and 3 raccoons over a week. As the cost to relocate each animal was around $60, we canceled the service a week early. It just got too expensive ridding the entire neighborhood of wildlife. The skunk has not been sited since and the black cat has moved on due to the neighbors gardener scaring the daylights out of it with a leaf blower. The company is good and we recommend using them; however, be aware that it is quite expensive as each trapped animal must be tended to within 24 hours (state law) which requires the service come that day to relocate the animal. Scott performed all the work exactly as he described he would on the first day he was here. He told me it was a process, and he returned several times to check the crawl spaces, before he put in permanent coverings. He built and custom made the crawl space coverings and did a beautiful job. Called Janus and spoke with someone (I think his name was Jay). I am having skunk problems. They keep eating my grass and digging holes in my yard. So Jay told me best thing is to kill their food source, which is grubs. He came on time, showed me where I had holes in my gate that the skunks were coming thru. He suggested I get it repaired, and in the meantime purchase metal netting for the fence so that they can not come thru. He also gave me another tip, coyote urine! He gave my grass two coats of insecticide and sprayed the yard with a high powered sprayer. This is a much more powerful than a 1 gallon sprayer from home depot. I haven't applied the netting to the fence yet (just been too busy). And I did apply the coyote urine around the perimeter. However the skunks came back after a week. But all hope is not lost. I still have to apply the netting. Overall I was happy with the knowledge Jay provided. One thing I did not like. Jay told me he would call me in a week or so to find out if it worked and maybe I would consider a maintenance plan. He did not call meshow more

I contacted them when I heard a scratching noise in the bathroom wall. Although multiple traps were set, we caught only one BIG rat. Scott did seal everything up and left rat traps in place with a year guarantee to come back if there are any complaints or problems. We first met Jay in July of 2011. Like other satisfied Angie's List members, I called for a quote and was happy to receive a quick response from the owner of the company Jay himself. Jay was very personable and made himself available to meet right away the following Saturday morning since both my husband and I work. Jay sprayed for pests (including spiders) both inside & outside our home. Jay also inspected our home for rodents in the attic and below the house. Jay found and removed a very old rodent carcus on his first visit. He also indicated possible points of entry for the attic and below the house. Jay set traps in the attic and below the house. On his next visit, Jay removed a recently trapped rodent from below the house. Jay and his associate Michael continued to monitor the rodent problem weekly for the next several weeks. They diagnosed the problem and shored up the entry points with wire screens to prevent further rodents from entering. Michael even squeezed himself into an extremely tiny crawl space in our attic to secure one of the wire screens.
