I can't say enough good things! Eduardo gave me a general bid for what I was considering, and I had 3 other companies come out and none even submitted bids as they said they couldn't compete with the quoted bid. After choosing Angels, Eduardo gave me options and advice on various items and we agreed on a contract. They were on time, professional and cleaned everything up. Midway through the project they gave me some options they thought may be good add-ons without any pressure, and I agreed to two of the three ideas. Despite two days of rain, they came in on budget and on time, with only one mistake (the coping I chose was considerably higher than the old stone border, so the concrete was about 2 inches higher than it had been, and once poured prevented two French Doors from opening completely, but they trimmed the bottom of the doors at no charge and fixed the issue within two days). From our first phone call I could tell the Pool Guys were one step above the rest! April was helpful and answers all my questions. She never made me feel rushed. When Tim came out for the estimate, he was on time, personable and professional. He offered suggestions, answered questions and again- he didn't make us feel rushed. I contacted Alan Smith Pools to solicit a proposal for a complete backyard remodel project as indicated above. They responded promptly to the solicitation and scheduled a time for Gary Kawate to do a site visit and review the design plan I had prepared. Gary was prompt and professional, although it took them a bit more time than the others to provide the completed proposal. Their proposed price for the project was substantially higher than any of the other four quotes received. The proposal included detailed pricing for each activity, which was very helpful but their price was just way too highshow more

Our decision to go with California Custom Pools has been the best decision we ever made. As a retired veteran family we had very high expectations and worked for months at gathering quotes and meeting with various vendors but non ever came close to the professionalism and follow through in ensuring our project was exactly as we envisioned and beyond. These folks are true pros and take such pride in their work. Our project manager Juan Horta was brilliant and every time he brought something up to us we absolutely agreed with him. The pool and landscaping look gorgeous. All the edges and details are finished beautifully. The whole crew are experts in their different fields. Onecimo and the paver crews, Santos and the landscapers - we can see everyone put real care and pride in their work. Jackie Flor was our designer and she put in a lot of hours getting us the design we wanted. The price was laid out and explained at the beginning and there was nothing hidden or unexpected. I could not be happier with their work. It is now my favorite part of the home. I am really pleased with their service. They always work so hard and are on time. They even cover my car while blowing leaves or doing other yard maintenance. They have also chased after my dogs when they ran away. They really go above and beyond their call of duty. I feel safe going on vacation for two weeks, always knowing nothing bad is going to happen. They are very trustworthy and personable. I cannot say enough good things about them. By far my best experience yet with a home improvement project. I had a pool and spa installed by this company recently. Juan was very professional and work is high quality. From the day the job started, he and his workers were onsite everyday working, starting at the time he promised and working as efficiently as possible to get the job done on time, including weekends when needed. I've experienced contractors in the past that take advantage of their customers, send workers out with no supervision or don't show up at all, poor workmanship, etc. so I can truly appreciate Juan and his crew for taking such pride in their work and going above and beyond to ensure my project turned out exactly how I wanted. When we bought my parent's house 18 years ago, we planned to remodel it in a couple years. Based on other positive reviews on this site, I contracted Rick to re-plaster etcetera our pool. I couldn't be happier with the result or with Rick's performance. Rick draws on years of experience and thanks to his advice we ended up with a beautifully colored pebble/quartz finish that is apparently harder and more durable than a boring white plaster finish. OK, it was a few dollars more, but I didn't feel I was being upsold and I am very happy with the decision. We also had the bench or ledge in the pool extended and enlarged, and also a very snappy looking hand rail installed. I did not include these in the cost above as I figure most people are looking for a re-plaster job and want to compare like with like. As other reviewers noted, Rick always turned up when he said he would and he replied promptly to phone calls. The whole transaction was very professional with a very low BS-factor. Rick said that at the outset that it would take ten days end to end. By day eight, the pool was filling with water. I would use Rick again in a heartbeatshow more

I cannot say enough good stuff about Irit and Raul. On the initial appointment date they showed up on time and helped me sort though the ideas I had for the pool area. I shared that I was not good at visualizing, so we looked at book samples that Irit had with her. They measured everything and then sent me an estimate, which was very competitive with other estimated we had received. We ultimately selected Aqua Care based on all of the reviews we read on Angie's List, and I have to say that we were not disappointed!! Irit LISTENED to my thoughts about our area, and then gave useful feedback, pointing out things I had not even considered as options before speaking with her. I also appreciated their hands-on approach, stopping by frequently to check on the work that was being done, validating choices before ordering materials, and keeping us informed about next steps. In total, from beginning to end (once the project started), it took about 3 weeks. We are extremely pleased with the quality of work, the professionalism, and above all else -- the new pool we have!! We would not hesitate to recommend Aqua Care to friends and family, and would definitely give them the highest rating possibleshow more

I purchased my first house and the pool was leaking, light didn't work, had Black algae in it, heater was busted, electrical wasn't up to code, tiles were cracked with some were missing, water was green, plaster had chunks missing, Etc. I called Irit and they came out and gave an estimate. To fix everything wrong that I mentioned above. The first estimate was over $9k. I told them it would out of my budget and she said she would work with me. They did just that. Got a less expensive tile (which had the look I wanted anyway), cut the price on some services and moved some things around. Thr tiles started at $8.50 and she got it down to $4.50. The replastering part was kida pricey based upon other estimates I got for the same thing. The others seemed to have made up their money in other services. Either way I went with them mostly because they worked with me and my budget and even went through the tile book and marked out which tiles would make my budget work. The team came out early the following week and made it happen. I didn't have any issues that I can remember with anything they did. The pool looks really good now and I can't wait to get in. All went very smoothly from the first day I contacted Lillywhite through completion of the 28 day start-up. Deborah was very professional and detailed in the proposal process and also very responsive on all follow-up questions, and arranged visits to similar completed job sites. Other vendors did not come close to anything like this. Scott and Deborah came to my home the night before demolition to make sure all was set to start the job the next day. Execution was flawless and the replastering team was exactly that. A real team. The end product is a real beauty. Then came the start-up team. This is a service that I believe is unique to Lillywhite as all other proposals I got were just one week start-up. Lillywhite has a 28 day process after the plastering. They come twice a day for the first four days and then once a week until the 28 day finish. Jay is "the man". Very pleasent and friendly, but above all super knowledgeable and spent many hours vacuuming, brushing and making sure the chemicals were perfectly balanced. This process is critical and was the real selling point for me when I selected this vendor. Knowing that Lillywhite would make sure everything was perfect for a whole month after replastering was very important for me, and they definitely did not disappoint. I cannot speak too highly of this company, they did a tremendous job. Mark responded to my call and visited my house to provide the initial quote during the Christmas/New Year week, when their offices had actually closed for the holidays. The price they quoted seemed competitive, they were willing to fit in around my schedule, and that of other workmen on my property, I liked Mark's attitude and so decided to give them the job. Tomo was on site for most of the time following, even during the bad weather patch we experienced, doing what he could whenever he could do it. He kept me apprised of everything as it happened, they responded immediately to any concerns I raised. They went above and beyond in every respect, on one occasion during the storms Mark visited the property at a time when he had no need to, without being asked, just to check on something because he knew I could not be there myself, then gave me call to put my mind at rest. The job was completed in less time than I expected, the results are better than expected, and surprisingly within budget given the level of service they provided. I would have no hesitation using these guys again, and have already referred them to two of my good friendsshow more

Working with Garden View was an extremely satisfying process. We knew the features that we wanted but not exactly what we wanted the pool to look like, so we gave our thoughts to Mark, the owner, and our project manager Richard during the design phase, and they came up with a design that was beautiful and made the most of our oddly-shaped backyard (basically a large flat triangle next to a slope). Once we engaged their services and started working out the budget they worked easily with us, first by providing us with a design that gave us all the things we asked for - and then, because we realized it was way out of our budget range, adjusting the design to fit our budget limit. Because of when we started the project, delays in the permitting put us at a finish date of August. We told Garden View that we really wanted to have the pool done before the end of the summer and didn't want the schedule to slip. They met the dates as quickly as possible - some days trucks and materials didn't come that were expected, but overall we didn't lose more than a week or so off the schedule and we had the pool a couple weeks before school started. (Since this is LA, we had a couple months of use before it got too cold to swim). We did frequently check in with Richard about the schedule and about questions that we had; Richard was great about responding with answers in a timely manner, and with cost information if we were requesting changes or asking about the budget. We LOVE the pool. The multiple features of the pool (slide, 2 baja shelves, 8' deep end, shallow end) mean that many people can be in it at the same time doing lots of different things. The slide is great - a stone staircase leads to its top and the bottom of the slide is raised above the pool by a foot plus, so any ride down the slide results in a nice plunge. Mark and the team at Garden View take a lot of pride in the work that they do and it shows in the final result. You can definitely get a basic pool for less money than we paid Garden View, but I think our final result actually looks more expensive than it wasshow more
