This is a pretty good pool and spa service. They service my property twice a week. They send an email when they arrive at your property and another email when they leave. This is good for me because I own a vacation home and it is nice to know that the service is actually being performed. I have had some difficulty with getting them to do everything that I asked but now we are in sync and the spa looks great everytime I am in town. Have patience with them and just explain what you require . Once they understand, they will do a great job. They also discovered that the pump was not turning on and were able to fix it very quickly. First impression was very good. Emails were quickly replied to and phone calls answered right away. Mike was prompt when arriving for the estimate. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I wanted the swimming pool repainted and also valves replaced in the swimming pool pump supply line. He explained all of my options and was not pushy in any way. I received the estimate the next day. While the estimate was not the lowest, Mike's professionalism made me go with his company. That was the last time I saw him. The job was to be a three day event. Day one was to prep and primer the pool surface. Day two to replace the valves and the third day to paint the pool surface with Epoxy paint. It turned out to only take two days. For the first day I was given a two hour window for them to show up. Two workers did show up within the time specified and began work. Everything went fine the first day. They preped the pool and also replaced the valves. As they were leaving, I asked when they would be back. Could not get a concrete answer and was a little worried. But they did show up the next day and painted the pool. It was Epoxy Paint so once the area was painted, that was it. No touching for a week until it cured. When they were finished, I asked when would they return. The pool light, ladder and drain cover had to be put back as well as the pair of sunglasses left at the bottom had to be retrieved. And yes the glasses did remove the paint from the area they had been resting. They said I would be called and not to fill the pool for a week until the paint fully cured. They also said that the cover, light and ladder could be put back in 3 days. I waited but never got a call about there return date. I called them and set up the time. I also noticed there were lots of panted over bits of debris sticking out all over the place. I was also very disappointed with the steps. There was a tile inlay design on the steps. I was told from the start that they would have to grind that and paint over it. However, I did think that it would be ground down and painted in a way that you could not see the design. This was not the case. Now it looks like a cheap quick job painting over clearly visible tile. It also turns out that they replaced the wrong valve on the pump. Did not figure this out until after the week I waited for the paint to cure and the day in a half to fill it. They did respond quickly to this when I called. Had someone out in less than two hours and got it right. Would have been nice if Mike had returned to check on these guysshow more

On the recommendation of a spa cover company, a year or so ago I had purchased a new spa cover them through Joe. Last year, I decided that the spa really needed to be fixed up, and I called Joe, who responded promptly and arrived when he said he would. It took him a number of trips to complete all this work, and I don't think he charged me travel time. The underwater light quickly went bad; since it was still under warranty, Joe was very helpful in contacting the light manufacturer for me and arranged for the light to be repaired at no charge to me, saving me the hassle of dealing with the problem. I found Joe to be quite experienced with spas, did an excellent job throughout, and I was especially pleased with the retiling job. I will use Joe again for any spa repairs I need. I purchased my previous cover from them about 6 years ago. With exposure to the winds, rains, direct sunlight, etc., they wear out. My previous cover was cut to the exact dimensions of my spa, and fit perfectly. I called them directly and they still had my previous cover on file. I changed the color, but they had all the style info, and measurements already. That was impressive. WIthin 3 days, one of their drivers showed up with the new cover, and loaded the old one on his truck. I provided him a check, and he was on his way. These people are very competent ( the product looks great and lasts ), and friendly. I have no hesitation recommending them and will use them in the future when this one wears out. I was very pleased with the turn around time ... amazed actually because each cover is custom cut and sewn to your exact dimensions. Fine. My pool is clean, without being over-treated with chemicals. The heater and pool cover work well, and cost what the provider had estimated. The company employees are reliable and thorough. Regular pool service is certainly available for less than Royal Blue charges, but I know from experience that not all pool services are as reliable, as knowledgable or as experienced. Within one day of my inquiry call, Irit (design) and Raul (pool builder) from Aqua Care met me at my home on May 23 at the scheduled appointment time to discuss the prospective project. I had some ideas how I wanted to renovate an old, tired pool and surrounds adjacent to a natural treed hillside to look and feel like a natural pond. I hadn't found any similar designs in many online pool photo galleries. I also wanted the pool upgraded to incorporate more modern functional amenities, like autofill and drainage. Irit and Raul took my vision and returned in less than a week with a photo and some materials samples that really let me know they got it. They presented a scope of work and proposed budget that was detailed, comprehensive and reasonable. The identified tradeoffs, elements that needed to be done together initially, and things that could be deferred until a later time. It sounded right. My only reservation was whether or not it could be completed by July 1. Irit has a great sense of style and many times went the extra mile to get just the right color, texture and feel. At her suggestion, I did the decks/patios in stained, stamped concrete with custom made concrete boulders. I had real reservations about the boulders, fearing a Disney Thunder Mountain look. Turned out that that was my favorite part of the design. Boulders look realistic in shape, color and positioning. (There was never any resistance or extra charge for my wanting stain colors or rock selection redone when it wasn't just right.) What was originally scoped as more uniform river rock trim became a custom, realistic sculpture with individual selected and embedded rocks. Advice to use a micro pebble tec plaster was well worth the expense. All in all, design was an easy process; multiple options presented, good advice and no pressure. The actual demo and build process was the best I have experienced. Raul was very practical and clearly highly experienced with pools. Work proceeded quickly and efficiently with excellent coordination among stages and contractors/subcontractors. Work site was left in a neat and orderly manner daily - concrete, tile, plastering, electric, etc. Entire job took less than 3 weeks. Post completion punch list items were handled cheerfully and efficiently. Telephone calls were answered immediately and communication was friendly, professional and effective. We did not have one point of contention or miscommunication the entire time. Payment was never stressful; all payments were timed to work completion milestones. There were no requests for payments other than as specified in the contract. Extras (additional lights, new pool lights, larger transformer, additional steps, larger patio) were easily discussed, clear, quoted in advance and reasonably priced. As promised, the project was completed by June 15, well in advance of the July 1 deadline. My new pool and surrounds have been transformed into something amazingly beautiful. Both the process and the outcome were unbeatable. I would definitely use Aqua Care again and recommend them without a single reservation or complaint. The only reason I gave them a "B" for price is because their estimate was not the lowest and the total project cost was not inexpensive; but their work quality was at the highest level, so I'd say it was a good valueshow more

Dave Frisch came promptly every time, from day of estimate to start day and completion. He pulled the permit; another company I called wanted me to do that, and told me I would have to pay $900 for the Engineer to do the Perc Test following demo and fill. Dave included that service in his price, and still came in lower. He is cheerful, treats his crew well, displayed good relations with other contractors (electrical repair; delivery of fill dirt; Engineer). There was no cursing, no loud music, no suggestive comments displayed on t-shirts. There was considerable laughing, however--a very good sign. He is a gentleman and treats others the same way. All in all, an excellent experience, and I have recommended Frisch and Sons to others, and to our local newspaper. Angel's Pools are fantastic! The entire crew that work for Angel are experts in their area and are always willing to make the customer completely happy. Starting with the design aspect, through all the construction and down to the finishing details, everything was done exactly as we asked. Edward came over to our property and listened to my wife's very specific ideas. He came back quickly with a rendering that exactly matched our requests, including engineering a design to have the pool come up to our property line wall. Angel then spent hours at city hall obtaining the appropriate permits. All we had to provide was signatures when necessary. The construction of our inground pool was completed in just 2 months and passed every inspection the first time. Our back yard is a small space with restricted access, so our pool had to be dug by hand. It took them just 2 days! The crew stayed late when necessary, worked weekends if needed and returned to make any changes that we requested. Their plumber, Genaro, installed the best possible equipment and had everything up and running perfectly as soon as there was water in the pool. The two foremen who worked on our pool, Luis and Ramon, are two of the finest craftsmen we have seen. Everyone who sees our pool is amazed with the quality of the work. We had several companies provide estimates for our pool. Angel's Pools was one of the most competitive prices and by far the shortest time line. The estimated price hardly changed during the project and they delivered on their time frame. The payment schedule was fair and Julie in the office was always very knowledgeable and helpful. And, perhaps most importantly, whenever we had a question or an issue, Angel and Edward always returned our calls promptly and provided a quick resolution throughout the entire project.
