Monday before Thanksgiving and our oven stops working. When I called they wanted very specific model numbers and details of problem so that they could make sure they had all the possible parts they would need with them to avoid multiple trips. Knowing how important an oven is during Thanksgiving week they were willing to come out at 8:00pm that night for no extra charge.They were very prompt, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. Installer arrived on time and went right to work. He checked the wall cavity, unpacked the gas oven, and lifted it into the cavity with no assistance. He has obviously done hundreds if not thousands of this kind of installation. He connected the oven to the gas outlet and turned on the oven to make sure it was working properly. Although it was not an antique stove, our recent Kenmore gas stove quit igniting a flame on a Saturday. After searching on Angie's List, I called Antique Stove Repair because they were in our neighborhood. I talked with a repair person that asked a few questions and we arranged for a service call the next day, Sunday. Another repairman showed up promptly and was very pleasant. After a minute or two he knew that it was a faulty "igniter". He got one from the truck and had it replaced all within an hour. I will definitely use them next time. He quickly diagnosed igniter problem and fixed my oven within 30 minutes, explaining that this was a common problem. Courteous and knowledgeable, the technician was a pleasure to deal with. Ike, the service man, was very professional and carefull with a very heavy double gas oven. He had to pull it out from the wall. I felt the price was fair because he had to reviove two oven doors good in light of the heavy work, pull out the oven, install the ignitors, restore the oven to the wall, and test hus workshow more

I consider myself lucky and blessed. They came out and knew right away what was wrong with this crappy stove of mine. My work schedule is hectic, so I'm gone about two at a time. They were able to work around that to accommodate my work. They got the part fast, fixed it fast, PLUS they are courteous! They even put up with my very messy house!!!! Michael fom Appliance Guard said he could send somebody, maybe two people, to install a built-in gas oven. He'd give a one-day notice. After not hearing back from him, I called and talked to a person who said he was a dispatcher. Michael didn't contact me. I called again after a few days and Michael was rude and said he didn't have a second person to accompany the installershow more

Technician arrived turned the burners on, smelled gas, turned burners off and stated that we needed to call the gas company out to inspect the stove prior to his commencing with work order. As stated by the technician anytime the smell of gas is invloved the gas company has to check unit first. I was bothered that this was not stated when I initially called Lerman. I then, thru Angies list, reached out to two other companies. When I told them the problem, both immediately stated that the gas company needed to be called out prior to their coming and doing any work. The gas company stated the same. So Lerman has collected $60.00 for showing up, all the while knowing that protocal in a situation such as this requires the gas companies inspection. Will never use them againshow more

i want to be very honest about this review. I called this company listed in the Neighbor to Neighbor book that came to my mailbox. I figured since there was only 1 appliance repair listed that they had done the "homework" for me......not so Technician Mike showed up during scheduled time... that was all the good news i have for them. $60 later, he couldn't find the model on my old Whirlpool stove and gave me an estimate so "out there" based on the fact he couldn't find the model #. He also had an attitude which does not help transactions go smoothly and spoke to my husband and I as if we were idiots when i asked him to explain something to us. I am disappointed and out $60. Oh and his parting words ---If i can find the model # they can come back and repair it based on what they find and --oh---i'll get the $60 applied to labor----r u kidding me?????show more
