Above and Beyond Rain Gutters had been to my house previously to install cooper downspouts for a few deck drains. They did an excellent job so I called them back to install cooper gutters on my entire house. Rick Spink met with my roofing company as I was coverting the drainage system on my roof from roof drains to a gutter system. He did a great job coordinating with my roofing company. He and his crew came out and did the job in 1 day. The cooper gutters and downpouts are goregeous. They did an excellent job. I called three companies for estimates and one of the companies never called me back, the next company wasn't bad but he could not give me any definite answers and the price was about the same.Rick came out and gave us a estimate and said it would take about two weeks to get the materials and custom stretch and bend the copper gutters to fit the two Turrets. I chose Rick with Above and Beyond rain gutters because I felt we could trust him and seemed like a man of his word., and he did not even ask for a deposit knowing how expensive copper is these days and I liked that he said please pay at the completion of the job so I chose Above and Beyond. His crew came out earlier than two weeks and went right to work and finished the job in two trips. Ralph came to the house to give an estimate and we decided to go with him based on his knowledge and experience with copper (he also did not try to oversell). The first date of installation, they had to reschedule but I didn't hear from anyone until I called to check on things. Due to the mix-up, they upgraded our catch basins, which we absolutely love. The installation went very well and his guys were responsive whenever we wanted to make slight adjustments to the gutters and downspouts. The owner, Mike Laube came out the day after I called to give me an estimate for gutters. Originally I had planned on aluminum seamless gutters but also had him give me a quote on copper. I live in Laguna Beach and have an old beach cottage that was built in 1929 and wanted to have something that was more "period" appropriate. I had previously had three other companies out to give me a quote. The price range was from $3600 to $1700. After looking at the product and seeing a couple of places in town that Coastal Rain Gutters had done, I went with them. The crew that came out was professional and did a great job. Everyone from the estimator to the installers were very professional and provided quality service and work. I don't know if the price was the best I could get since I never ended up getting another estimate. After talking to Tower I knew I wanted to work with them. Part of my roof was not straight due to an original construction defect. Tower had several people, including the owner, at my house trying to figure out how to improve the appearance without spending a lot of money. They made it look much better for just a few hundred dollars. The only problem I had was that the demo crew (Tower contracts out the demo portion of the job) pulled the old gutters off and in some places they were screwed to the fascia boards. Now there are some gashes in the fascia I need to patch and paint. I never mentioned this to Tower so I don't know if they would have made the repairs. We were having our old house repainted, and I really wanted the finishing touch to be the replacement of the rain gutters that had rusted away some fifty years ago. I knew that copper would look great, but I feared it would be unaffordable. The first estimate from a Pasadena competitor at over $17,000 almost made me give up on this idea. But after meeting with Ralph from Brothers Sheet Metal, and reading his great reviews on Angie's List and beyond, I received his estimate, and was more than pleased that it was more than 60% lower than the previous bid. The job was tricky, as they had to fit the gutters over existing notches in the rafter tails, and several of the seamless gutter sections were so long that three men were needed to lift them. The job took three days instead of the anticipated two, because of the idiosyncrasies of our old house. The timing was almost too good to be true: Just about an hour after the job was completed, the first rain of the season started in earnest, breaking our long drought. We sat on our front porch and watched as water rushed down the two decorative copper rain-chains that had just been installed at each of the front corners of the house. And because we decided at the last minute to purchase these two rain chains, Ralph voluntarily reduced the price of the job by $480 because of the copper he had saved on down-spouts. I met with Michael a few days after I initially called him for the estimate and I received the quote two days later. The price was just right. Back on 11-16-2012 I hired this company to install seamless rain gutter material with down spouts around the front of my home and garage. I was so pleased with their craftsmanship and high quality materials that I naturally called them and was not disappointed! They were here bright and early ready to go. In less than two hours the job was complete and the job sight was spotless. Over all they do great excellent work! I am very happy! on the day of install Ralph showed up with his crew of four men at 8:00 am. Just as he told me. There were several issues, such as some of the rivets leaked, a gutter spike punctured an eave, and one gutter did not drain properly. We asked them to come back and fix those, and they did quite willingly. They did a good job, and we asked them back to install a few more areas and make a couple gutter spouts drain into barrels. They were friendly, mostly clean and fast. The only trouble I had was in scheduling them. Once they did not show up, and several times they did not call back right awayshow more

Angie's list saved the day and we finally have gutters and yes we splurged on copper. The owner came out and looked at the job and said he would try to install a gutter at his own expense to see if the install would work. They showed up on a Saturday morning with a big truck, crew and fabrication equipment and and did the trial gutter. It worded fine and they continued the job until late that afternoon. They finished the job in 2 days and considering the remote location of our house, that was a record. The crew cleaned after themselves (another record), showed up on time and asked questions on what we wanted . Thank God the gutters are holding up fine with the El Nino rains and massive winds.
