Clayton was very professional and customer focused. He truly understood our pest issue: bird mites. I cannot speak for any other pest issues, but for bird mites, I highly recommend this company. Bird mites are such a nuisance and Clayton definitely knew what he was doing. After his inspection, he took some pest samples (that I had collected) to have them inspected by an entomologist to confirm they were bird mites and so he could use the appropriate treatment. He even recommended bird barriers to keep this from happening again. We were reluctant to spend more for the bird barriers, but we have an ongoing issue with birds nesting under our eaves every year and we did not want to go through this bird mite nightmare again. There was a delay in getting the correct amount of materials (bird barriers), but that was after the pest control treatment and I was willing to wait patiently to get it done right the first time. On a subsequent visit, Clayton even did a second treatment (interior & exterior) to make sure the bird mites were all exterminated. He also had an assistant who did the bird barrier installation. Prior to this experience, I had never heard of bird mites, but I know now what they are and how much havoc they can raise (especially inside the house). We were impressed with the owner/manager who conducted a very detailed evaluation and the approach to address the very annoying bird nests so we don't have to live with the mess the birds left behind on the cement ground. He didn't just cover the obvious spots, he also saw the potential locations could attract birds to build new nests after the current ones are blocked. Richard did a thorough investigation of my attic in search of a bird invasion. He took pictures of the attic from various angles as evidence. He concluded that there was no bird(s) or any other critters in the attic. Richard also took a look outside on the roof and discovered that in fact, there were a couple of pigeons nesting underneath the solar panels on the roof of the house, but there was no evidence of any possible entries into the attic. Surf City was our first choice based on the superior rating on Angies List. The appointment was set up and followed with courtesy phone calls the day before with name of technician and 30 minutes prior to arrival. Felix, the technician showed up on time and looked around the house. He offered his assessment and the solution to prevent future bird nesting. He also provided a verbal quote on cost of installing # of barricade. He said we would receive an official estimate next morning in an email. After we heard and receive nothing the following day, we called two days in a roll for answers. Then we were told Felix was on the field Friday and will get back to us on the following Monday. We had what we thought were bats hanging around our front door. We had bought something from Lowes that was supposed to help keep birds and bats away. When Vince came out, he actually confirmed that it was birds that were the problem, not bats. Nature Rite came out to remove Paper Wasps nests that had accumulated under the awnings of my house. The Nature Rite representative was very professional and had a wealth of information to share with me regarding why and how Paper Wasps build their nests. The representative was also very straight forward and honest. He offered to do the removal or gave me the option to choose to buy my own bug spray and remove the nests myself, stating that I could save money doing it myself! The Nature Rite representative also shared that I could do the removal during the evening since Wasps cannot see in the dark During his inspection of my house he also spotted a couple of empty bird's nests and informed me of the pest danger of keeping the nests on my property, stating that bird mites that feed on the bird could come into the house. Dave Cragoe responded to our problem with birds pecking holes in the eaves. He was prompt and suggested a couple of ideas. Based on his research, the best idea was a particular bird repellent paint/coating. He found the product, sent information on the manufacturer and suppliers and then suggested that we contact a painter to apply it to the affected areas. He put in a bunch of effort to find the right solution for us even though it didn't involve his services. I was hearing noises in my attic. Bill from Antimite came out many times adding more and more traps under my house and in the attic, plus checking for entry points. My first contact with Ron (salesman) was pleasant enough. The negotiation of price (they were the highest of my three) was a compromise. (It should be noted that the work crew is great, even excellent). My problems began when they ran out of the special disposal bags for their vacuum which required the foreman to drive to Ontario for more (and gas for the vacuum as well). This resulted in them having to work late and still not being able to finish in one day as promised. I then noticed that the insulation that had been delivered to my front yard was unfaced. I was curious as to why there was unfaced rolls of insulation being used as I had only been familiar with faced (one side has Kraft paper on it to act as a vapor barrier for condensation created by temperature differences between attic aASHRAE standards are the most appropriate standardsnd living spaces). A quick search online informed me that the industry standard (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning, or ASHRAE) recommends "faced" insulation in a "bare" attic, " unfaced" insulation where you are installing over existing insulation, NATION WIDE!. The Los Angeles Building Permit Office informed me that the ASHRAE standards are the most appropriate standards . However, the Building Inspector will pass unfaced insulation as a bare minimum in Los Angeles because insulation requirements (code) just require R30 and don't specify faced/unfaced. I had a heated discussion with Ron (salesman) and John (ceo) which was finally settled with an increase in cost (to me) to cover the faced product. I wish that I had been informed that their initial bid was for the inferior insulation. I think that they had a responsibility to inform me that the industry standard was not what they were going to provide. Their excuse was that Southern California homes do not need moisture barriers in their attics. I repeat that when I spoke with the ASHRAE agent and the Building Inspector Permits Officer I was told that faced insulation is the appropriate material. Anyway, after promising me at 9:00 pm that they would finish the job "bright and early" the following day (I rearranged my schedule to accommodate them) they called me at 9:00 am the next day to say they would not be there till the following day, which is today. They are in my attic as I write this. We'll see how they doshow more

Outstanding work. He took time to explain what he would do, came prepared, and was able to trap two of the birds...the others flew off. We did not know we had more than one pair nesting. He then "fenced off" the area with a fine mesh that is not visible down on the patio. AND, he cleaned the area, which was a big MESS. He also cleaned the patio deck which was littered as well. The pigeons and their eggs had attracted a young hawk daily and there would be a war over the eggs with the hawk winning and our patio deck, lounge chairs were a daily mess. The birds are still gone. We discovered we had termites several months ago and after cancelling due to a work schedule we were finally able to go through with the fumigation. Unfortunately when the fumigation team arrived they discovered that we had swallows nesting on our roof. As explained by Ezekiel the terminix rep, swallows are an endangered species and one can be fined up to $20,000 per bird if harmed therefore they could not go further with the fumigation. I was shocked to hear the supervisor Tom on his walkie talkie suggest to Ezekiel that it was really a hornet's nest and not birds, and then when Ezekiel informed him the home owner was present he said "What a waste of a day." I later called our rep, Steve to inform him that we would again have to reschedule. His exact words were, "I want to put a bullet in my head". He was frustrated that we again had to reschedule for another reason. He then suggested that I get one of my workers get a pressure washer and hose down the nests. I told him there were birds inside and he said "they're just birds". His comments were offensive, and unprofessional, not only that he was suggesting that I commit a felony. He called later for a follow up and we informed him that we would not be doing businessshow more

They come every two months. They are quick and efficient, and the use biodegradable, environmentally friendly ingredients in their pest control. It doesn't hurt the good bugs; it hurts the bad bugs. John was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable. He thoroughly steamed the carpeting,furniture,etc. He applied chemical spray to the baseboards and in cracks and crevices. He and his helper also sprayed outside the house,in the garage,and dusted the attic. The mite activity was reduced after treatment, but not totally gone, so John returned and applied another steam treatment. He set up monitors to see exactly what kind of mite it is, because he wanted to see if another chemical would be necessary, since it could actually be a different type of mite. I was at my wits end! It started with a bird nest outside my window. When the hatchlings learned to fly and abandoned the nest, my condo was infested with bird mites. John Lleonart was the third pest control company to come out and try to end my 6 month nightmare.
