We used this mover because they had good reviews and gave a lower estimate than another company. Never again would I use the services of this company. This was the worst move experience ever. As I wanted the most accurate estimate possible, I requested an in-person visit to assess what was required for our move. I showed Amine everything that needed to be moved, including opening the closets and showing him the storage space. I also told him that the distance from the elevator to the apartment we were moving to was much greater than where we moved from. At that time, then on the phone and again by an email, I stressed the need to complete the move by 5:30 P.M., as required by the building. When I received the estimate for providing two movers, I questioned whether two would be enough since four movers did our previous move. He assured me two were enough. Not only was I charged over $400 more than the estimate, but since they did not finish until 7:30, I had to pay $150 to the building for going way past the time permitted. Because they finished so late, they did not finish putting all the furniture back together. Also some items were damaged, but that was ignored in the mover's response to my emails. I contacted Amine on the afternoon of the move to say I was worried the movers would not finish in time, since they still had not moved everything out of our apartment. I also let the movers know about the time deadline. He should have sent additional help when it was clear it was needed. He did not send 2 more men until around 5:30, when they were supposed to be finished. Not only were two movers not enough for timely completion of the job- the truck was too small to fit our belongings. However I was not aware that they did not move everything they were supposed to move until I returned to the old apartment. The movers did not tell us how much they left behind. We had to make several trips back to our apartment to get everything for which the movers did not have room in the truck. I requested, at minimum, the $150 I had to pay for the elevator late fee, not to mention if I had gone with the previous company, they would have done the job correctly their estimate was less than I ended up paying. I received $100 refund- not enough for me to give a higher rating.

Of the moving companies I contacted, Amine was the only one who offered to come to my home to look at what I was moving and give me a free estimate. When I said I wanted to use his company, he dropped off several moving boxes several days before my move. About a week before my planned moving date, I learned I would need to change it. Amine accommodated my change. On moving day, three movers arrived within their half-hour estimated time window with a large U-Haul. The movers were professional and efficient, and I was pleased with how my belongings were treated. The move was completed about 2 hours faster than the original estimate, so the final price was lower than estimated.

I cannot recommend Amine Fettar and NovaMovers highly enough. I was faced with a last- minute move from Virginia to Maryland. Amine let me know immediately that they could do the job and set my mind at ease. Amine is easy to reach and answers the phone himself. He was in contact throughout the move to make sure everything was going smoothly. His crew arrived on time the next day and did an expert job of wrapping and loading my furniture onto the truck. They worked quickly and were polite and professional. They handled my things with care and were able to fit everything expertly into a small storage space, saving me money. The entire job was completed in less time than I anticipated and cost $200 less than the estimate I was given. I plan to hire NovaMovers again in a few weeks to complete an additional move. I highly recommend them to anyone who seeks a stress-free move at reasonable prices.

I've used NovaMovers for 3 different moves so far. Amine and his team have always showed up on time. They do a great job at moving things in a timely manner. I also don't think you can do much better in the area for the prices that they charge. I plan on using them whenever I need to do another move.

Up until the move everything went well. We spoke with Amine two weeks, then one week then the Friday before the move, which was on a Monday. Rain and possibly winter weather were expected that Monday. On the Friday before the move I asked him specifically several times if the weather would be a factor. He assured me that weather is not a factor. The movers were to be at our apartment building at 8AM on Monday the 17th. We had reserved and put down payments on the moving elevators at our old place and new place (which was 1 block away). On the day of our move Amine called at 6:45 AM -- ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT TIME -- explaining that he had to cancel due to weather and asked if we could reschedule. When I tried calling him back he refused to answer my phone calls all day. I had to call from a different number for him to even take my call. When he finally answered, he explained that the weather was too bad for him to come out and that the rain could damage our belonging. I reminded him that we mentioned that we had covered loading docks in both locations. He ignored that and then said the weather was just too bad. It wasn't too bad for the other TWO movers who came to our apartment later that day and who laughed when I asked if the weather was too bad. Amine did not offer to come out later in the day but did offer to come later in the week - which would require us to lose our security deposits and put down others. He took an attitude saying that "no one requires" security deposits. Would I use Nova Movers? Absolutely not. Would I recommend them to anyone else? H*** no. Have I filed a complaint with the BBB? Yes, I have. Why did Amine ask us to write this review? He must have short-term memory. DO NOT USE NOVA MOVERS. DO NOT USE NOVA MOVERS. DO NOT USE NOVA MOVERS. Did it work out in the end? Not with Nova Movers. We had to scramble to hire someone else (and their brother) who eventually showed up. We had to rent our own truck, dolly and pads. We lost our security deposits and had to pay an extra day of rent at the old place because we did not get moved out in time (at the higher premium out-of-lease rate). I have so much more I would like to say about just how awful the experience was dealing with Amine and Nova Movers but those things are not fit to print. Nova Movers put us in a very bad situation. They took our credit card number which to me is an agreement. They did not hold up their end of the deal and in the end tried to shift blame to the weather, traffic and eventually us. We will never forget this horrible experience and will actively discourage anyone from ever using Nova Movers.
