While the purchase and delivery was straight forward I feel that they don't stand by the quality of their product. A few weeks ago I noticed the ridge vent on the roof had blown off of the shed after being only 6-9 months old. When I inquired about warranty coverage of this I was informed that this was due to "Mother Nature" and would not be covered. While I agreed that if we had a hurricane or some other abnormal weather in the area, Mother Nature could be blamed but this was simply not the case. There were no abnormal conditions but typical weather caused the vent to blow off. They did offer to submit a claim for me but it would take a week to get a response and the whole time there would be a hole in the roof letting rain in. I told them this was not acceptable and they said I would be responsible for covering it until a decision was made. They even tried to assimilate this to if I had a chimney fire and filed an insurance claim that I wouldn't wait for the claim to be processed to remediate the damage. I said that if it were an insurance claim of be reimbursed for incurred costs but the warranty claim wouldn't reimburse me. Anyway, they didn't offer much more of a reprieve to the issue than what was offered so I decided to handle the issue myself. The basis for the poor rating is that I feel as though the roof vent should have been better secured to the roof such that it couldn't blow off in normal weather situations. I also feel that they should have honored their warranty on craftsmanship since the shed was less than a year old and damage was caused as a result of normal weather which it should have been able to withstand.
