Piper Home Inspections is the only inspection company to use! It is a father and adult son team that has unbelievable attention to detail. They went well beyond the minimum requirements and took the time to explain each issue or concern. During the inspection they would pull you aside and show you a thing or two that would be very valuable for a new home owner. I can not recommend them enough. Top notch work!

Made me feel like a hired a master of his trade. I was expecting a quick run through of the house, and a generic... fix this.. this... & this... report. Ed & Brian, walked me through each room making sure we understood the in's and outs of the property. Very thorough report afterward gave me an excellent punch list of items to complete and prioritize projects after closing on the property. I appreciate his straight forward no nonsense approach to the inspection. Answered my questions and was able to provide a layman's explanation. The report was complete and sent to my email before I got to the car. Much appreciate gentlemen!

Went very well. Piper was a two man crew, I think the owner and his adult son - they seemed knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. They printed a report up on-site immediately after finishing and gave it to us. They were very easy to work with, easy and comfortable to talk to and ask questions and did a great job. Ed Piper arrived early for our 9am inspection and was already investigating the roof when my husband and I arrived just before 9am. Ed is extremely thorough and informative during his inspection. He goes about the inspection with an attitude of teaching you about your home and how to take care of it. The property Ed inspected needs a lot of work and he gave us many ideas of how to fix existing problems and how to improve the quality of the home. We walked away with a very good idea of how to prioritize our renovations. The inspection took about 2.5 hours for a 1250 square foot home with full basement and we were given a binder with the full report printed on site. We will not hesitate to recommend Ed Piper or use him for future home purchases.

This can be seen form both the inside and the outside. These cracks will cause potential leaks and should have been noted in the inspection report and need attention before they become more serious issues. The west wall in the utility wall that has a crack that was previously repaired by applying mortar to the surface. This crack does leak during a driving rain. We relied on the inspector to point these issues out and prevent people from getting in over there head in repairs after purchasing a new home. From 7/06 to 3/07 there was not a good rain that would have forced the leak to show. The inspector should have noticed and ran a leak test at there very least on this crack. Per contractors, there would have evidence of the test being completed. The sub floor is either inadequately or improperly attached to the point that squeaking is extremely evident to the ears. There is no satisfactory way to be repaired. To him it is insignificant issues.
