Description of Work: Installed 2 sash balancers for my bathroom window. This company is great. He showed up on time and completed the job in a timely and professional way. I would definitely call him again!!!!

+ -1 moreIt went absolutely excellently! I certainly would use this company again and would recommend it to anyone. No one was by the phone when I originally called, but they returned my call within ten minutes and came over within two hours to assess what needed to be done, and gave me a reasonable quote at the end of the visit. Upon receipt of necessary parts, they called and came out the next day. Their service was thorough, prompt, and they took pains to clean up as they went along. They were pleasant, responsive, very knowledgeable, and worked quickly. They obviously knew exactly what the problems were from past experience and easily had the necessary expertise to do the job quickly, professionally and thoroughly. They did not press me to undertake unnecessary work; we looked at every window in the house, and those which did not need work were identified and did not become the subject of further conversation. I was extremely impressed.
Description of Work: Provider ordered new and replaced balances on 8 Alcan windows, lubricated same, and replaced rollers on 1 Alcan sliding glass door. In each case, Provider upgraded features which provide reliability and ease of use, such as using two screws on balances instead of one and installing double rollers on each side of bottom of slider door vice single rollers.

Description of Work: Total window and screen was not able to perform the services I needed. Never the less they were responsive, punctual and overall very professional in coming out to look at the job. I would definitely call them again for any work I needed done in the future

+ -1 moreNever heard from them. Not sure why they advertize on Angie's list at all, obviously they don't need the work . The worse thing is they live in my county and I always try to hire within my own county first if at all possible. See how well that work out for us . The only reason there is a date in the date field is because Angie's makes you put one in. I tried all zeros and it won't let you.
Description of Work: Nothing because : I not only emailed them , I left a voice mail but never heard from them .

+ 0 moreWe had a window in the garage that would not open. I called Total Windows to schedule someone to take a look and give me an estimate to repair it. Bryan from Total Windows came out that afternoon, gave me an estimate and said that he thought that he had the parts necessary to repair it on his truck. Within minutes the window was repaired. He also looked at my sliding glass doors which were squeaking. He told me that there was nothing wrong with them and that the rubber needed to be oiled. After he finished with the garage window he came in and oiled the sliding glass door! He could have charged me for repairing the door but instead did a quick fix at no charge. I appreciated the honesty and the prompt service.

+ -1 moreThe above narrative says it all. This is the type repair company that is needed so badly in the home repair world. We would defintely use this comapny again and again.
Description of Work: The rollers on our lanai sliding door had to be replaced, What is noteworthy Brian, the owner, responded quickly to our voice mail and showed up shortly thereafter. He quickly determined the problem and offered us a solution and a fair estimate. These separate sliding glass door units weigh approximately 230 pounds each. He took the door out of its tracks, replaced the roller mechanisms and showed us where the original install crew and left a high spot in the track rails. He corrected as much as as was possible. Then reinstalled the sliding door , not an easy task, and lubricated and made all of the necessary adjustment to ensure the door opened and closed securely and properly. Our confidence in Brian grew with each passing moment, so much so, that we had him reinstall a lanai screen door that I tried to DIY (Do It Yourself) and failed miserably. Then we asked him to give us a estimate to replace the screening on the lanai and our garage doors. Not surprisingly he took the measurements, inspected the current screening, and then told us that he is not a salesman and our screening did not need to replaced. Only one small section had tear and needs repair. Imagine our surprise! I have no hesitation what so ever in recommending Total Window & Screen repair to family, friends and neighbors. It is so rare into today's society to meet a professional, honest and responsive business man. The only don't is on me for attempting to install a new screen door, frame, and acessories without knowing how complex and difficult the job would turn out to be. Thanks Brian.
