I've been buying these boots for many years. I work in a plant where steel toe and slip resistant boots are required. I'm on my feet 8-12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and these boots are very comfortable. I usually put a work boot insole inside for extra comfort. Wearing these are like wearing a pair of sneakers. They're light, break in easily, and the steel tip never rubs my toes or wears holes in my socks. I wear a size 12 wide, and I would never know that I'm wearing work boots. I highly recommend these work boots for people who are on their feet several hours a day.

I like these boots. I don't love 'em, I like 'em. There are two reasons I don't L O V E them. 1: the insole cushion gives very little support. I had to get a Dr. Scholls insert to give a little padding. Fine after that. 2: the soles hold oil like a sponge. I work in a very oily environment and even after blowing off the soles with air there will still be a small puddle of oil when I sit down. This does go away, but it takes a day. I now sit with oil absorbent pads to put my feet on so I don't have little puddles at my desk. I don't know if I would buy these again just because of the problem with oil retention. But, they are VERY comfortable.

Update 5/13/2016: I bought these boots over a year ago and I am not sorry I bought them. I bought a Spenco orthetic insole and the comfort level just got better. Also, I changed jobs and I am in a less oily environment so that issue is no longer a problem. The boots have held up well. They are scuffed and nicked from normal work but they are still in good condition. I walk quite a bit (three or more miles per day) in these boots and the soles show just a little wear. Even the laces have held up well. I had to replace them last week and that ain't bad.

Update 11/8/2016: I bought another pair of these boots and I still like them. I'm even gonna upgrade to I love them. They are comfortable and durable. I have an odd walking pattern in that the outer edges of the heel and sole wear out first. Usually I can only wear a pair of boots for a year before the wear on the outer edge gets so bad my feet will start to roll outwards. These boots lasted almost two years. I plan on staying with the Rocky brand until I retire.

This is my second pair. My first pair lasted just over a year. Very comfortable and usable right out of the box didn't have to break them in. The only issue I had with my first pair is the start eyelet punched a hole through the leather after about a year. As a plumber I'm always on my knees or squatting down so the boot folded enough to make the toe touch the eyelet.

I still love the boots but..one problem I've had with both pairs I've had is the first set of eyelets eventually cuts through the leather if you squat a lot. In other words the eyelet touches the toe and cuts through, ruining the waterproofing of the boot. I know I'm writing this a year and a couple of months later but I noticed it approx after 9 Months.
What are these in September of 2021 it's January of 2022 and the whole upper half of the back of the boot has separated from the leather very disappointed.

These boots fit me well and are unusually comfortable for work boots. I prefer to wear steel toe boots, but I have a foot that is very hard to fit- narrow in the heel and wide in the toe. The larger toe box allowed me to order these in a standard width. I have enough room for my toes but not have a slipping heel. The padded fabric tongue is comfortable, but hot. The boots are hot overall, which I associate with waterproof boots; I would prefer boots that breathe. I like the lacing system. The laces pull smoothly through the guides, and hooks don't collapse or break like I have experienced in more expensive boots. The fit and comfort these boots offer are worth a 5 star review. Time will tell how durable they are.

They're not even moisture resistant in the slightest, let alone waterproof! The type of leather that they are made of is very soft and absorbent and the tongue is a mesh fabric, it's not possible to make a waterproof boots from such materials. I hate false advertising, which is lying and stealing both at once, but I try to be positive, hence 2 stars. Because they are very nice and comfortable boots, grossly misrepresented, but still nice.
