I bought three cases to find the best one for my iPad Air 5th Generation 10.9 inch. In the end, there was no comparison. That’s probably to be expected when one product costs about 4x as much as the others. Here are the three with a few comments:

1. ZUGU CASE for iPad Air (M2) 11 inch (2024) iPad Air 4 & 5 10.9 Inch (2020/2022) - Protective, Ultra Thin, Magnetic Stand, Sleep/Wake Cover - Black $48. This is about 4x the cost of the others, but it is far and away a superior product, and for me, absolutely worth it. It feels tight and very high quality material and workmanship. The case stays open with solid, tight magnets. The pencil holder works well. Everything feels right in the hind and works very well in landscape mode on a table. It’s a high quality case for a high quality device. Everything about this is just far superior.

2. Fintie Rotating Case for iPad Air 11-inch M2 (2024), iPad Air 5th Generation (2022) / Air 4th Gen (2020) 10.9 Inch with Pencil Holder - 360 Degree Rotating Protective Stand Cover, Navy 12.79. This is the only case that allows the screen to rotate, and that’s nice if you need portrait mode while it’s sitting on a flat surface. But if you ever plan to read your iPad while holding it, this is a very disappointing choice. In the hand, the whole thing feels completely loose and floppy and thick. I knew within 20 seconds that I would return this product.

3. Supveco Case for iPad Air 11 Inch 2024,iPad Air 5th/4th Generation 10.9 Inch 2022/2020 with Pencil Holder-[Auto Wake/Sleep],Premium Folio Stand Soft TPU Back Cover for iPad Air 5/4 Gen-Navy $15. This one is OK. It feels kind of cheap, but I tried it for about two days. During that time the plastic did not smell good (maybe that goes away with time), but it was a dramatic improvement over the Fintie product. It can be held in the hand with just a bit of a loose feel. It would have been tolerable had I not tried the ZUGU case. But once I put the ZUGU on, there was no going back.

When I buy a future iPad, I will only buy a model that fits a ZUGU case. It's just that good!

Second Zugu I’ve had. First one lasted 4+ years on my iPad, under heavy use, before it started to fray just a bit at the edges. Came time to replace the iPad and there was no question what it was going wear.
Rock solid case with great fit, functionality and protection. Premium case, albeit for a somewhat premium price but well worth the cost. You pay $$$$ for an iPad why would you trust it an inferior $ case is beyond me. Buy the best.

The case has a magnetic closure and a very nice system to allow you to prop up the IPad at 8 different angles. Combine it with a clear screen protector and you have done as much as you reasonably can to protect your IPad from inadvertent harm.

I ordered this case because the idea of the magnetic angle holds was an idea I really liked since the magnetic folding triangle cases do not seem to be a sturdy option and this case seemed like a great option.
Pros: 1. the viewing angles are magnetic which is more secure, sturdy, and gives a better hold than the type that you just rest on the divots in the cover. 2. There is a specific place to hold the Apple Pencil and it’s located in a place where the pencil is easy to use and can charge while in its spot which is not true for all cases that offer a place for the pencil (although I’m not sure how secure it holds it on when hit or placed in a bag) 3. Has an opening so you can use fingerprint id (this was an important feature for me because I do not like having to type my password in every time I open my iPad) (speaking of opening the iPad, the sleep/ wake feature does work for this case which I know some people find an important feature although would not be a deal breaker for me). 4. The front cover flap is magnetic when the iPad is in the case so stays closed which is a great feature if you plan to travel with it.
Cons: 1. Speaking of the front cover flap, it does not stay connected once it’s folded back / does not stay secure on the back if you wanted to use it flat, portrait, or walk around with it open, just kind of flaps around which could become annoying when picking up or carrying around. 2. One of the main cons for me is that you can’t really open the front cover unless you grab it from the bottom right corner due to the pencil area blocking the side as well as the fact that the cover sits almost flush with the sides other than the bottom right area that sticks out to the end of the case to open it. I found this to be annoying since I’m used to being able to open a front cover from any side but maybe you get used to it. 3. It’s kind of heavy which is understandable due to the angle magnet feature but may be a negative for people who want that light iPad feel.
Overall the case seems like it’s good quality. Ultimately I decided to return this due to a combination of the price and the negatives that just made it not worth it for me. I ended up ordering this case since it was compared to the other one I had been looking at (esr shift) but said to be lighter in weight but ultimately I chose the other case I had ordered as the extra viewing options and more features appealed to me more and the weight was basically the same. If the cons I listed are not deal breakers for you then hey it seems like a good case but just not for me.

Overall the case seems like it’s good quality. Ultimately I decided to return this due to a combination of the price and the negatives that just made it not worth it for me. I ended up ordering this case since it was compared to the other one I had been looking at (esr shift) but said to be lighter in weight but ultimately I chose the other case I had ordered as the extra viewing options and more features appealed to me more and the weight was basically the same. If the cons I listed are not deal breakers for you then hey it seems like a good case but just not for me.

I absolutely love it.
The magnets are strong, the case fits tight and secure. Super easy to install, you literally just put it in. The reviews saying otherwise must have either bought or received the wrong one. This case is big and it is heavy. I like this personally, it feels very protected and the stand could not be more stable and secure.
The quality is excellent, from the fit to the touch, it feels luxurious and durable.
The look speaks for itself, if anything, it’s nicer in person.
I bought a second one for my sons IPad.

When I got my new iPad Air, there were so many case options to choose from that it was daunting. I wasn’t impressed by Apple’s offerings, and some of the other options I found were either too bulky or looked flimsy. I’d never heard of Zugu cases before, but based on their features, detailed product descriptions and consistently strong customer reviews, I decided to give one a try.

When I received the case, I was impressed with the quality and care put into the packaging. It sounds trivial, but from the enclosed thank you note and instruction card printed on thick, textured stock, to the molded foam insert and printed tissue wrapping, the unboxing experience was premium. Someone had thought out every detail and cared about first impressions.

The case fit my iPad Air perfectly and has stayed on it since I got it over a year ago, with little signs of wear. There’s a well-molded, magnetic receptacle at the side for the Apple Pencil, which not only holds it securely, but also charges it consistently and with ease. But the most impressive feature of the case is its magnetic, multi-position kick-stand. Not only does the stand provide a wide range of angles (eight of them), but the magnetic support also holds the case rock-solid—whether it’s balanced on lap, sofa or table. And if I want to attach my iPad to a metal surface, like a fridge or workstation wall, the case can do that, too, since the magnets are that strong.

If I were to mention one small, negative detail about the case, it would be the stretchy, fabric Apple Pencil holder stitched into the back cover. Having used it a few times, I didn’t get the impression it was too durable. It’s the one feature that just doesn’t feel as well-engineered as the rest of the case.

Overall, the Zugu iPad Air case is excellent. Although it’s priced higher than some competing options, you really do get what you pay for with this. Highly recommended!

Acabo de comprar mi Air 5 y estuve buscando por varios días algún case para prevenir algún accidente con mi dispositivo, siempre soy muy cuidadoso pero ya saben: no está de más prevenir. Al fin me decidí por el Zugu Case en color negro (porque aunque muy probablemente se hubiese visto mejor el color azul (ya que la iPad es azul). De entrada me sorprendió el empaque en el que viene el producto, da la impresión de ser muy cuidada en su imagen la marca, y sí, les adelanto que el case es muy pesado (seguramente en comparación con otros protectores más sencillos) pero como casi siempre uso la iPad encima de una mesa, no es problema para mí, sin embargo es algo a tener en cuenta.
Los materiales son de una increíble calidad (justo lo que esperas por el precio pagado) y se nota que serán muy durables, lo único que no me gustó fue el interior de la “tapa”, se ve como logotipo del Licenciado Valeriano, y que esta no sella bien la mitad de las veces, pero es algo que con medio segundo que te tomes al cerrarla, se soluciona.
Se supone que la marca te paga las reparaciones del dispositivo directamente con Apple si llegas a tener algún accidente mientras traiga puesto el case pero no estoy seguro de los términos y condiciones de ello, o si esto funciona también en Latinoamérica, sin embargo, suena como una buena garantía para los posibles compradores del case.

This really is probably the best case for a tablet that I've ever seen or owned.

Pros:
- it's really, really solid and well built. Strong enough to survive your day-to-day mishaps.
- The iPad Air fits snuggly in the case and does not need to be forced in.
- All port cutouts are perfectly positiones for access.
- Air holes cut out in the rear of the case.
- The colour (slate blue) is stunning and compliments the blue iPad Air very well.
