    Was noch keine Rezension hier? Dann versuch ich es mal. Ganz vorneweg, man muß sich erst mal in das Album reinhören. The Best Of beschreibt den Schaffensrahmen von Cameo von 1977 bis 1993. Maßgeblich beteiligt am Erfolg der Band war der Sänger, Songwriter und natürlich Kopf der Band: Larry Blackmon. Er trieb die Band zu immer neuen Stilrichtungen angefangen vom eher gitarrenlastigen 70er Jahre-Funk & Soul bei Rigor Mortis und Shake Your Pants bis hin zum sythesizerbetonten Elektro-Funk der späten 80er und 90er Jahre bei Word Up, Candy und natürlich She's Strange. Letzteres war auch in deutschen Funk-Discos ein absoluter Dance-Klassiker. Die Zusammenstellung beinhaltet die bekanntesten und wichtigsten Tracks von Cameo. Anspieltip von mir: Flirt. Absolut groovy und lustig.
    Das Remastering der CD ist hervorragend und steht der Vinyl in nichts nach, einzig der Preis ist etwas zu hoch angesetzt.

    Of course I got this for Word up, it was one of the few soul record that got through to me in the day (Can't stand that expression). In that time I was a Crass fan, so Cameo did well to get through. Great record many hidden gems to shake your ass to. Don't do this whilst shaving (you get the point).....
