A ways back I set about to catalog and organize all of my loose LEGO parts, and since I have neither an infinite amount of space nor infinite funds, it was done using plastic tote bins and ziplock bags. Since I have a whole lot of parts that I have only a few of or are small enough that a lot of them will fit into a tiny bag, these were pretty much perfect. Getting 1,000 of them was perhaps a -bit- overkill, but a) they were by far the best value and b) I know that my Mom (who has a craft jewelry business) will likely be able to use the extra ones and giving her a few hundred won't impact my stock noticeably.The bags aren't really much to write home about (and yet I'm still writing a review of them...) but they get the job done. So far I've not have any that have torn or been defective after using about 150 of them which is quite good. The 1K pack of them came in what look to be packages of 100 which makes it nice to not have to deal with hundreds at a time. They are made with two bags 'top to top', so they're usually still slightly attached at the top of the opening but all of them so far have separated with only a small bit of force.Definitely highly recommended if you need to organize lots of small things (like LEGO, beads, etc.)!

    I bought the 5x5 inch square snack bags. Ziploc used to make square ones but no longer does, and that giant big box store has its own store brand. Unfortunately, the giant big box store said I could only pick them up and not get them delivered, even though I have gotten them delivered in the past. So I tried these and I'm glad I did. The quantity is going to last me quite awhile! :) They are a good size and easy to open. We primarily use them to store individual portions of things like pasta in the freezer. They have held up well in the freezer and were easy to open and close. If you have very large hands, you might find them more difficult to work with, but my hand fits nicely in them. They are not as inexpensive as the giant big box store brand, but they got delivered to my front door and I didn't have to drive to the store, park, stand on line, etc. The box contained 5 packs of 200 bags, so you don't have to handle or deal with all 1,000 bags every time.
