Aquarium with multicolor fishes
Impressive square-shaped marine sculpture realized in Murano glass. Unique decorative accessory, which will make your home design memorable!
The magic of the art sculpture is represented by the processing used to realize it. The glassblowing technique donates to the artistic figure originality. The glass master has created at first the fish of this piece of furniture. At a later stage, he has realized the crystal structure with a blue base that represents the aquarium.
This decorative accessory suits perfectly each kind of design.
This product, like all products on the YourMurano store, is handmade and blown in Italy by some of the most famous Murano island glassmakers and it represents the emblem of this beautiful Island.
THE VENETIAN GLASS
Venetian glass was historically born in Venice, and only subsequently the production was moved to the Island of Murano, initiating the long tradition we know today. Here, the glass production is carried on in the historical furnaces by glassmakers with the traditional techniques passed on for generations.
HANDMADE BY MASTER GLASSMAKERS
Murano glass raw materials sand, soda and sodium nitrate, are mixed by hand in the heat-resistant crucible and then fused in a kiln that can reach up to 1.400°C. When the elements are fused together the viscous paste is lowered from 1400°C to 1100°C. At this point, the paste is “solid” enough to be shaped by the glass artisan.
- Master glassmaker sets up and coordinates his team which consists of 2 or 3 people which help him in making of the piece.
- The Master quickly works with his tools on the viscous Murano glass mass whose temperature is rapidly dropping.
- The heated piece is then handed back to the master who continues modeling it.
- Murano Glass gives more valute to your Home Decor.
- Art glass decorative object to give to your home decor the Italian style!

Technical Details
Production Method | All of YourMurano glass home decor creations are entirely handmade in 1400°c ovens, by our glassmakers of Murano Island that have passed on the tradition for generations. There are many different processes involved in glassmaking craftsmanship but all can be summarized in these four steps: Composition and Fusion The glass elements are carefully weighed, mixed, and added to secret blends of minerals that give each batch its desired color. The blended mix melts in a crucible in the 1200 °C oven, fusing together for nine whole hours. Working The glass crucible is lifted out of the oven and pour the molten glass out, shaping it into a sphere under the careful supervision of the Master glassmaker. It is he who then gives it the desired shape, with expert hands applying ancient techniques, assisted by a team who ensures that the piece remains at the correct malleable temperature by moving it in and out of the oven. Tempering Once each creation is completed, it is placed in a specialized “annealing” oven for cooling for many hours or days. Finishing The cooled object is then handmade and finished by our artisans with a variety of techniques, such as etching, polishing, and engraving. Then the products are by them controlled in quality and prepared in the stock for shipping. |
