The Firm's (TV Series) premise is that it catches up with The McDeeres after they come out
from hiding (10 years in the witness protection program)after Mitch <Josh Lucas> wounds the Mafia by as seen in the
Big Screen Movie <starring Tom Cruise>).

The series is fast paced and requires concentration as there are flash backs and tangents that need the viewer to pay attention, which may be why the series didn't proceed... too many people want to be spoon fed the story and not have to think.

Great (and believable) supporting cast of: Callum Keith Rennie as Mitch's brother/private detective, Juliette Lewis as Mitch's secretary/office manager/ love interest of Mitch's brother, Molly Parker as Mitch's wife and Natasha Calis who does a great job as Claire McDeere; the "tween" daughter who struggles with the family secret as she tires to fit in with her peer group.

Prompt and care in shipment. Item as described. Another bargain found. Thanks!

This not Tom Cruise, but just as good. The only crazy thing is that we bought the disc package to be able to watch all episodes that were not available for streaming (6 Discs). When we got to view the last chapter (episode) on Disc 6 it was MISSING. No matter how many times we tried to uncover the last episode for viewing it would not appear. Obviously, the manufacturer did something wrong in producing the final disc. So, we returned the discs and asked for a replacement. Hopefully it is not in all the packages.

Yes, they ended this only season with a question and will not provide an answer. I wonder what went into their minds. "Oh, yeah, we have a great series, people love it, but we will take it off the air. After all, we don't care about a great show, well acted, execellently written, with intriguing court room drama. No, let's do something else." Stupid, stupid people.

I love Grisham movies/ books, but this needed help. I can see why this didn't go any further than one season. Mistake one- putting in captions of "two weeks prior" or "three weeks later" absolutly ruined it. You will see the same scene at least three times in each show. This continued with the entire series. As for the two actors that runined the series was Juliette Lewis ( from Christmas vacation) as tammy she is a horrible actress. She over acted her part in the entire movie. Tammy was to have a southern acent which Juliette Lewis did not do. Molly Parker ( from House of cards) as Abby. Molly Parker was too old to be Mitches wife. Let alone no very attractive to watch. In the original movie Abby clearly would not have gone from a School teacher to a private eye. Both those two actresses added to the ending of the series . Glad I bought it used even know I will probably throw it out. Definitly no worth buying it new or at all.

It is sad that one of the best courtroom dramas in awhile on tv has to be taken off the air..This "1st" season is the last (really sad) and it is excellent..the cast is great and the acting better..The story lines at times did plod but, all in all, should have been brought back for a 2nd season...

I was very impressed with the Firm as a TV series. It moved along, had great action and a wonderful
story. I only hope NBC or another network, picks it up again for a second season. It would be a shame
if the series ended for good. I loved it!!

This is totally awesome, from start to finish you can't stop watching it. It is always fast moving and very exciting. It is like an extension of the movie The Firm, except this is even better. We need more of these, I wish it had more seasons. Anyone loving good high quality suspense, look no further this is the best yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Firm

This series is excellent. There is a common thread throughout that ties the individual segments together, but for people who watch only 1 or 2 episodes there's still a story and compelling plot. Only thing that kept me from giving it a 5/5 star rating was the sound quality on the DVD.
