    Hi. We bought a house with a pool. And just like a lot of old houses need work, a lot of old pools need work.
    Working on an old pool often means undoing or putting in what should have been there to begin with. For us, that meant a new sand filter, heat pump pool heater and a Blue Works sacrificial anode.
    Sure, the Andoe is just over $50, and compared to the other two things which cost a thousand a piece, you would think: Why bother with the Anode?"
    Here's why: Corrosion happens. Corrosion is the thing that causes hot water heater to fail. Why? Because people never replace the sacrificial anode in the Hot Water Heater in their homes. Once the anode is gone, then corrosion turns its attention to the tank. And bam! Failure.
    This pool anode does the same task. it is a target for corrosion to attack. And if I can get another 5 or ten years from my pool heat pump by replacing an anode every few years, it is well worth the cost!
    Easy to install, Easy to maintain. Recommend!
