Each sachet of granules contains 3g Potassium Citrate B.P. Added Sweeteners: Aspartame (E951) and Mannitol (E421)

Directions:

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: CYSTOPURIN granules for oral solution. Adults and children over 6 years: Empty the contents of one sachet into a small glass of cold water (200ml) and stir until the granules dissolve to give a fruit flavoured drink. Take one sachet dissolved in water, three times daily for two days. All six sachets must be taken to complete the course of treatment. Not recommended for children under 6 years. If symptoms persist longer than the 48 hour treatment you should consult your doctor. Do not take CYSTOPURIN if you are pregnant, or have had any kidney or heart disease, without first consulting your doctor. For further information see leaflet. DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE.

Cystopurin granules with natural cranberry juice extract is an effective relief from the symptoms of cystitis. Cystopurin is a low-sodium 48 hours treatment for the symptoms of cystitis. Each pack contains 6 sachets which mix with water to make cranberry flavour drinks. It works by counteracting the acidity of your urine, helping to relieve the burning, stinging pain on passing water. It contains potassium citrate which neutralises the acidity of the urine. This helps to relieve the burning, stinging sensation when passing urine and reduces the urge to urinate so frequently. Beginning the Cystopurin treatment at the first signs of attack will usually help you feel better within a few hours.

I used to have recurring cystitis, but now older I have not had it in four years. Cystoprin is a great saver for the real discomfort. I also keep the strips in, however had to buy more as those I had out of date (well done Amazon real quick delivery). However my doc has moved on and I was given the contraption in photograph. I also sent strip photograph. The lab did the test on contraption taking overnight next afternoon lab said no. So having to use contraption again. It’s almost a situation of ‘computer says no’. Why are new ideas used when the older ones work, ‘patient care’ but Amazon came to rescue with both my needs.

    Oh dear Lord the relief. Now don't expect miracles, I still needed antibiotics to clear up my infection but these enabled me to function whilst the antibiotics kicked in. It was only the second UTI in 50 years so I'm feeling pretty lucky! Flipping menopause.

    I tried these alone to start with but when the two day course ran out, then a second two day course (I was hopeful!) the symptoms came back so I called the doc like a responsible adult. I have pee test strips at home that the doc accepted as proof of antibiotic need (photos of test strips and phone call appt) as I couldn't get to the docs on the bus without having an embarrassing accident but these beasties stopped the symptoms prior to that everytime.

    The taste isn't hideous, I just make it up and gulp it down swiftly and I don't retch which I would do if they were nasty as I have little tolerance for nasty tasting stuff.

    They let me sleep through the night and work (from home) without loo dashes every 10 mins.

    I recommend heartily and I now, keep them in my medicine chest for future use.
