嫁さんの実家にWiFiタイプの防犯カメラの設置や、他スマート機器が増えて来たのに伴い、今使っている古いTP link製から宅内インフラをアップデートしようかなと探していました。現在はTPlink製Archer C1200を2階でメインにバッファロー製中家機器WEX-300を1階に置き飛ばしているのですが、如何せん家の作りがクネクネしていて飛びの悪いのと、今となっては物足りなさは否めない機器達なのです。ネットが出来ればいいやと軽い気持ちで両機共に数年前セールで格安にて購入したもので、、中継機WEX-300を現在自宅で使っているWG1200HPに変えようと考えています。自宅はプロバイダーの無料レンタルルーターがWG1200HPより新しいタイプなので自宅ではそれを使おうと思ってます。これで実家のネットワーク状況の改善が見込めるかなと思います。お盆休みにやってしまおうかなと。自宅ではNEC製を取っ替え引っ替え20年以上使っており不満は有りません。初期の頃は速度を追い求め高級機を新型が出る度に買い替え使っていましたが、近年コスパの良い物で十分と自分で納得出来たので数千円の物ばかり使っています。ちょうどこのルーターがセールをしていたので即買いしてしまいました。実家もWiFi５で十分なので良い買い物出来ました。自宅のWG1200HPと簡単に性能比較したら飛びは少し良くなってますね。WG1200HPでは中継機を介さないと読み込みがジリ貧で止まった状態なのがこのルーターでは電波強度も一つ上と言う感じでちゃんとデータも飛んでいるみたいです。アプリの数値をみると2.4Ghz接続ですが20Mbps程で繋がっていました。この辺は家の間取りや諸々の影響も有りますのでご参考までに。設定画面は昔と比べればシンプルになっていますね、Aterm使っていれば迷う事は少ないでしょう。WiFi５の環境で普通の使い方なら十分な性能だと思いますよ。４ストリーム有るから安定感も上がるでしょうね。本体はシンプルで飽きのこないデザインにWG1200HPより少し背が高く厚みは若干増えたかな、そんな感じです。スペース的には邪魔にはならないでしょうね。私の好みとしてはホワイトモデルが有ると良いな〜と思います。

    木造2階建てです。1階玄関脇にしか光回線を引き込めなかったので、2階まで電波を飛ばすために、バッファロー製の外付けアンテナタイプの最上位機種を親機に、2階に4ストリームの子機を使って、だいたい2階で50ghz前後の電波でした(あ。これらの2台のバッファロー製ルーターが同時に壊れてしまったので、NECへ初めて乗り換えました。
    このモデルを2台購入し、同じように親子関係を構築し、速度を計測したところ、なんと2階の電波が150ghz前後へ3倍増しました(SE2)。光回線は変えてないので、純粋にルーター性能の違いです。
    バッファローで2台6万円位したのに、その半分以下の価格で速度が3倍に！
    しかも、アンテナ内蔵でスッキリコンパクトです。壁掛けも可能ですし(ネジは付属されてませんが、普通の1.6cm程度の小さなネジでOKです)、置き場に困ることはありません。
    取説もわかりやすく、簡単に親子ネットワークを構築出来ました。
    あとは安定性と何年持ってくれるかです。
    バッファローはしょっちゅう再起動しないとダメで不安定の上に、4年で壊れました。
    NECに期待してます。

    AM-AX4200D5を親機として使用しており、AX1500HP2を中継器として購入しました。
    取扱説明書にはWPS接続が可能と書いてありましたが、何故かAM-AX4200D5に赤ランプ点灯して繋がらず。　本体を隣同士において行いましたが駄目でした。
    クイック設定Webにて接続を行いましたが、手間がかかり正直めんどくさかったです。
    動作等特に問題なく稼働しています。

    良い面は回線が最大100mbps早くなる所。Wi-Fiも安定。届く距離も４本内蔵アンテナあるので広いです。悪い面は初期不良なのかバグなのか１番上の緑のサーチランプが外からの交信なのか定期的なアップデートの関係なのかまだわかりませんが点滅する不具合がチョコチョコ起きます。点滅になっても他に繋がらないとか、回線が遅くなるとか致命的な不具合はないですが、直すためにはいちいち電源を落としてリセットする必要あり。原因を調査中です。

    築20年のマンションをフルリフォーム。せっかく有線LANも配備したのに、マンションにひかれているLAN配線がとっても遅いことに後で気づき落胆しました。
    とりあえずNECの安いのでいいやと買いましたが、有線LANポートもあるし、設定も簡単だし、NetflixやAmazon primeで映画や動画みても全然カクカクしないし、満足です。子供がゲームとかやりだしたらまた考えます。
