This theoretical interpretive essay aims to provide a radical behaviorist analysis of operational and ethical aspects of the Brazilian “jeitinho.” It can be defined as a behavioral variability shown and maintained by the Brazilians in a context of historical material deprivation as well as governmental and social control. The same behavioral pattern was observed during the first efforts of starting behavior analysis in Brazil. In
the 1960s, Professor Keller and his Brazilian colleagues from the University of São Paulo made operant conditioning chambers by hand using improvised items (i.e., birdcages and lunchboxes). We have located some of those first Brazilian conditioning chambers and photo-documented them to use as an illustration of the cultural practice in analysis—combining a double interest that integrates a cultural analysis and a description of the history of the science of behavior in the country

Es ist gezeigt worden, wie ein Rechtsmittelsystem einer Prozessrisikoanalyse unterzogen werden kann. Unter der Rationalitätsannahme konnte hergeleitet werden, wann es sich für Kläger und Beklagten lohnt, sich zu einigen oder vor Gericht zu gehen, und welche Instanzen in Anspruch genommen werden sollten. In das hier vorgestellte Modell lassen sich auch Spezifika wie die Sprungrevision, die Prozesskostenhilfe und anderes mehr einbauen. Ebenfalls kann man den Zins einführen und in Barwerten rechnen, wenn man dem Suspensiveffekt Rechnung tragen möchte (schließlich dauern Rechtsmittelverfahren im Durchschnitt drei bis vier Jahre). Auch ist das Modell geeignet, mit empirisch ermittelten Zahlen gefüttert zu werden, um es einer Überprüfung mit der Realität auszusetzen.

В монографии рассматриваются особенности функционирования празднично-игрового комплекса в севернорусском сельском социуме второй половины XIX — первой трети XX вв. Основное внимание уделено социорегулятивным функциям игры как при внутригрупповых и межгрупповых взаимодействиях в публичных обрядовых и зрелищных акциях («внешний круг игры»), так и в процессе становления личности при социализации детей и молодёжи и в соревнованиях за повышение статуса в рамках сообщества или референтной группы («внутренний круг игры»). Значительное место отводится анализу основных категорий традиционного праздника и его структурно-семантических составляющих, характеристике способов взаимодействия игровых и обрядовых форм, в частности, использованию игровых средств в ритуально-магических практиках.
Основной корпус книги составляют описания конкретных празднично-игровых форм «внешнего круга игры» на материале центральной части Европейского Севера России. При этом использованы как архивные материалы XIX—XX вв., так и полевые записи авторов.
Книга предназначена для специалистов по традиционной русской культуре (этнографов, фольклористов, искусствоведов, культурологов), а также для широкого круга лиц, интересующихся проблемами истории русской культуры.

The book discusses the peculiarities of festive-game complex in rural society North of Russia (Region Russkiy Sever) second half of XIX — beginning of XX centuries. The main attention is given to the regulatory functions of the game in society for intra and inter-group interactions in a public ritual and entertainment events («the outer circle of the game»), and in the process of identity formation in the socialization of children and young people and to compete for higher status in the community or reference group («inner circle of the game»). Considerable space is devoted the analysis of the main categories of the traditional holiday and its structural and semantic components, description of ways of interaction gaming and ritual forms, in particular, the use of games as the ritual and magical practices. The main body of the book is the description of the specific forms of «the outer circle of the game» on the material of the central part of the European North of Russia. Here we have used as archival materials XIX-XX centuries, well as field notes of the authors.
