QR Codes

QR code is an important pull technology tool that has increased exponentially worldwide. Although its usefulness for marketers has been widely recognised, little is known about the type of message content (i.e. hedonic vs utilitarian) that generates a greater perceived value of products. Drawing on uses and gratifications theory (UGT), this study investigates the effect of the type of communication (i.e. hedonic vs utilitarian) delivered through two different pull communication tools (i.e. website and QR code) on product value perception in the retail setting. In the first study, we ran a content analysis on data retrieved from a sample of QR codes of wine bottles. In the second one, we tested our hypotheses through an online experiment. The findings show that when the contents conveyed are hedonic, the presence of a QR code influences consumers’ perceived value of the product positively. The reverse is true when considering the website (without the use of the direct QR code platform). These results provide useful insights for managers for the development of a smart experience in stores.

This article proposes a fintech-based digital apartment application to make it easier for users, especially apartment residents, to make electricity, water and parking payments using a QR code payment with the Android platform. Users simply scan the QR code in their respective rooms and then choose the type of payment and its nominal. With this digital apartment application, the time for apartment residents can be more economical and productive because there is no need to wait at the checkout counter at their apartment. Thus, a better service quality can be realized.

QR codes is simple and efficient tool used in smartphones to obtain accurate indoor user location. As an increasing number of geo-location services are exploiting the capabilities of smartphones, most of which incorporate GPS location. The smartphones compasses to direct the user to the destination. With the help of accelerometers, it will be possible to estimate the walking distances as an auxiliary information. An, idea in order to calculate the user position inside a building by using QR codes and Google maps. Navigation is the process or activity of accurately ascertaining one’s position, planning and following the route to goal location. Mobile phones are devices merely used to communicate. Based on new techniques like GPS and sensors, compass and accelerometers that can determine the orientation of devices, location based applications coupled with augmented reality views are possible.

U radu se tumače uticaji digitalne kulture na društvo
u celini, sa posebnim osvrtom na potrošačko društvo i
neke od savremenih strategija marketinga. U uvodnom delu
predstavljene su izvesne predikcije u sferi razvoja novih tehnologija u narednim decenijama i ukazano je na neke pronalaske iz prošlosti koji su direktno i indirektno uticali na
nastanak i razvoj savremenih tehnologija i medija. Dalje u
radu, kroz objašnjenje promena na polju komunikacijske paradigme, autorke objašnjavaju i promenu u sferi distribucije
informacija i konstituisanja znanja. Takođe je objašnjen i
pojam digitalne kulture kao i njen razvoj, koji se pak odvija
paralelno sa razvojem novih tehnologija i medija. Potom je
kroz objašnjenje konzumerizma, koji je kao koncept prisutan
u svakodnevici sve češće, istaknuto kako ovaj trend ima zna-
čajnih reperkusija i kad je u pitanju kulturni habitat, donoseći
demokratizaciju i dostupnosti kulturnih sadržaja i kako, u
skladu sa navedenim, neminovno dolazi do pluralizacije ali i
trivijalizacije istih. U završnom delu rada predstavljena je relativno nova tehnologija QR kodova, objašnjen je njen nastanak
i rasprostranjenost kao i nesumnjive prednosti, ali i mane.
Ukazano je i na činjenicu da je besplatna za korišćenje, čime
najviše pogoduje razvoju novih marketinških strategija. U
skladu sa ovim i objašnjena je povezanost QR kodova sa
savremenim marketingom kroz nekoliko opisanih projekata.
/ The paper interprets the impact of the digital culture on society as a whole, with special focus on consumer society and
a number of modern marketing strategies. The introduction
presents some predictions regarding the development of
new technologies in the forthcoming decades, and points to
certain past inventions that directly or indirectly influenced
the emergence and development of modern technologies
and media. From the explanation of communication paradigm the authors proceed to the explanation of the changes
in the information distribution and knowledge constitution.
They also define the concept of digital culture and its development which, for its part, is parallel to the development of
new technologies and media. Their explanation of consumerism as an almost omnipresent concept in everyday life underlines the important impact this trend has for the cultural
habitat, for the democratization and accessibility of cultural
contents it brings about go hand in hand with their inevitable pluralization and trivialization. In the concluding part of
the paper the authors discuss a relatively new technology of
QR codes, its emergence and scope, its advantages and disadvantages. Its free use is highlighted as the most favorable for the further development of new marketing strategies. A description of some projects in this context facilitate
the authors to provide for a more detailed explanation of
the QR codes links with modern marketing.

The emergence of Android mobile operating system has brought about a huge change in the smart phone industry. It has contributed
to the increase in the range of services a smart phone can provide which includes the ability to be used in the exchange of financial
value. Quick Response (QR) code technology can be regarded as a key technology in the future of mobile payments. The goal of this
paper is to develop a model of mobile payment solution using QR code as a communication link between the two parties engaging
in a transaction and also for encryption of transaction details. The study resulted in a new android mobile wallet application which
was developed using the object oriented analysis and design methodology. Our experimental results show that the new system has
better security using dual authentication employed by different entities, does not require sharing of personal details, eliminates the
need for agents in the payment ecosystem and satisfies the universal property

Pembayaran transaksi keuangan melalui cashless sudah mulai menjamur di indonesia banyak merchand dan tempat berbelanja menggunakan aplikasi teknologi ini seperti perbankan, PT.KAI,Angkasa Pura, toko online dan aplikasi jasa transportasi (Gojek, Grabb). Salah satu pembayaran yang lagi tren di dunia adalah pembayaran melalui QR Code yang hingga saat ini belum ada aturan dan regulasi yang sama yang dikeluarkan oleh regulator yaitu Bank Indonesia, pembayaran QR code ini dan masih berjalan sendiri-sendiri belum diatur secara resmi untuk pelaksanaannya, menurut sumber dari BI aturan ini akan selesai pada awal Januari 2018, bagaimana regulasi ini mengatur sistim pembayaran melaui QR Code yang sama dan yang penting adalah bagaiamana pengguna mendapat jaminan keamanan dalam ber transaksi secara elektronik ini, agar tidak ada pihak yang saling menggugat dikemudian hari, dimana sistem ini akan sangat banayk dipakai dimasa yang akan datang di era Big Data.

Como es bien sabido, la educación patrimonial es un ámbito residual en las propuestas curriculares de Educación infantil y primaria. Ello se agrava con el hecho que en muchos programas universitarios de formación de maestros y maestras no se contempla ninguna materia relacionada con este tema, con lo que la marginalidad de la disciplina parece ser que lejos de mitigarse está abocada a acentuarse.
Una posible solución a esta problemática es fomentar acciones de enseñanza- aprendizaje relacionadas con el patrimonio desde diversas materias y asignaturas universitarias de los distintos grados en educación y que no estén diseñadas a priori como asignaturas de educación patrimonial. En este sentido, el trabajo que aquí se presenta pretende mostrar un modelo de actuación didáctica que fomenta el conocimiento del patrimonio y las fuentes del pasado a la vez que desarrolla habilidades y competencias relacionadas con las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación.
El proyecto educativo se ha implementado en la asignatura «Imagen digital y aprendizaje» impartida por el Área de didáctica de la expresión visual y plástica en el grado de Educación Primaria de la Universitat de Barcelona y en la asignatura «Didáctica de las ciencias sociales – Historia General de Europa» del grado de Educación Primaria de la Universitat de Lleida. El modelo de trabajo desarrollado en ambas asignaturas tiene una estructura y metodología similares, si bien se han adaptado algunos objetivos y contenidos a los específicos de ambas materias. El objetivo del proyecto es aproximarse al patrimonio local y familiar fomentando competencias de búsqueda de información, selección crítica de dicha información, creación de recursos didácticos digitales de contenido histórico- patrimonial y patrimonio natural y conocimiento del potencial educativo de la telefonía móvil, en concreto, de los códigos QR. De este modo, se pretende que los estudiantes universitarios experimenten y creen recursos didácticos de educación patrimonial que les faciliten trabajar la disciplina de modo inter y transdisciplinar en las aulas de educación primaria.

This chapter deals with the use of QR codes, especially in Libraries. The full form of QR code is Quick Response code. The QR code technology is just like the barcode technology. The differences between barcode technology and QR code technology is that barcode technology can handle the information only in horizontal direction and QR code technology can handle the information in both horizontal and vertical direction. QR code technology is widely used as a medium to deliver a message to end users. The QR codes are mainly used by libraries for the purpose of promoting their services. Nowadays the QR code technology is widely used by many libraries for providing quickly access to their resources.
